Surely it can't be a coincidence that I keep getting pains that don't go away and are unexplained.
I've had daily chest pain since 2020, unexplained (excruciating) atypical facial pain since 2021 and now unexplained throat pain since June 2023. I've had multiple MRIs, cameras, x-rays and no explanation for any of it.
I also have chronic pelvic pain (possibly adenomyosis), unexplained numbness in my hands, pain in one ankle, left hip and generally very sensitive to touch.
Yet no doctor is linking any of this, they are all individually shrugging it off, not knowing what to suggest. I have tried 5 different medications - bad reactions to them all.
Does this sound normal? Should I be insisting someone look into this further?
It's like multiple fire alarms going off but no fires!!

AGREED! Because alot of doctors think it's not a real disease. My dad had polymyalsiarheumatica just meaning many pains all over the place with similar symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and had really bad pain. Has your doctor ever tried you on prednisone? All of his pain mostly got better but still pain that came and went and they upped his prednisone. It's kinda like a guessing game. I am sorry that you are in pain and I know all to well the challenges. Just please keep trying to find an answer and try to hang in there! Prayers and huggs XOXO
I have pains all over my body which are unexplained so the doctors tell me. I have been diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, which doctors don't recognise. My pains make sense because I have all the symptoms yet I have to go to a specialist hospital with a 33 week waiting list to be told that i have this condition when I know I already have it. The doctors are wasting my time when something could be done for me. Look this condition up and see if that helps you in getting a diagnosis. Take care and let me know if you have any joy.
What are your bloods like? Do you have a result for vit B12 and folate (B9), full blood count, thyroid testing and magnesium? I'd be asking for homocysteine and methylmalonic acid. Best wishes
