pain in right breast

i suddenly have a sharp or deep awful pain inside my right breast. worsens when i breathe. and i can’t even turn sides in bed without getting so much pain. what can it be. i’m dreading this pain lasting. it’s lasted all night. anybody experienced this?

I think you should call your doctors now . It might be just wind but you don’t know. Hope it goes away . I’ve had wind before that’s very painful . But phone doctor now.

One of the things that can cause pain like this, especially if it changes when you breath is costochondritis which is where the joints between the ribs and breastbone become inflamed. Another possibility is the nerves or muscles between the ribs have become irritated or injured. In between each rib there are nerves and blood vessels that run from the spine to the front of the body, and they can get caught and be very painful.

So best to talk to your GP to figure out what's going on, but generally if the pain changes as you breath then it is more likely to be that than anything more scary.

yes i’ve read some things about that. the pain calmed down for a day/ night then again was awful during night n day 😔. can it affect both sides? and does it come and go?

Yes, it can affect both sides or just one side, and it can come and go. it might be worse at night because of the pressure of lying down is different from standing or sitting.
