Music, Personality, and their effects on pain and well-being

About the study: This study will investigate if listening to favourite music each day can reduce pain and increase levels of well-being in those living with chronic pain. The study will also investigate if personality influences who benefits most from using music for these purposes.

Type of opportunity: The study will be conducted online, but anyone taking part will listen to their own music in the comfort of their home.

How will the study benefit people with chronic pain? This study will provide an increased understanding of how music might be used as a method of reducing chronic pain and increasing feelings of well-being for those living with chronic pain conditions.

Who to contact? If you would like more information or to enrol, please e-mail Freddie Ballington at F.Ballington@derby.ac.uk, who will be happy to e-mail further information.
