stomach muscle like pain

last week I tested positive for strep, I was given penicillin , my question is… has anyone experienced a soar stomach?

I have like muscle pain, like if I have been doing 200 sit ups a day.. it hurts like hell when I move, cough, sneeze… it’s so weird. It’s not like a normal stomach ache or upset stomach.. it all feels muscular and it feels tight.

Yep I certainly do 😪 I’m at my wits end now as the NHS have been so gracious to give me an ultrasound appt for 12 weeks (three months) time. Fortunately, maybe, I’m getting near to my appointment day now yet, I’ve this problem since November. I caught COVID in October. It took me teo weeks to recover. Two weeks after that, I developed stomach psin all over my body. Lasts for 5 days. Gone for about 4 days only to come back again on mid right side. That started just having a coffee with a friend on the Friday in November. Saturday having a Chinese I felt nausea and in a lot of psin. Sunday, roast dinner in a lot of pain and to add a bit of back psin. Sleepless night follow by urgent doctors appt. She couldn’t figure exact cause but prescribed my lanzapinol indigestion meds. They worked to start. Had review the rime I told doctor were working. I was doing well until just after Christmas. Psin in right side came back. I thought, yeh it’s Christmas and over doing it. I left it for a month to get over Christmas, get back to a normal eating pattern. No, nothing much changed. Still stomach pain. Indigestion returned . Went to doctors on 31st Jan. she wasn’t’t worried but wanted me to have a refuting ultrasound. Wasn’t referred u til 8th of Feb due to backlog referrals. Have sppointment for 27th April. No idea what’s wrong. It ‘could’ be muscular. There’s a sense of that but, I’m left in the dark.

I would see if you can get an ultrasound. Don’t be put off as you might get a ppt a lot quicker than me. Depends where you live and where you’re referred to.

I’m not going to hospital for mine. Mine’s “community” ultrasound with Suffolk GP Federation. Problem why the ridiculously long wait.

Going to go Monday if I don’t get better.. the pain is crazy.. I’m bloated and it just sucks. I feel like I’m getting stabbed right above my belly button.

good luck to you also. My right side pain start with a knot. Sometimes it feel like a knot. Thrn, most of the time it’s a dull persistent ache. I get a hard ache at the top of my stomach from time to time. My stomach often feels full and heavy.

Oh well, just less than teo weeks to go.
