SI joint injections for osteoarthritis
I had the injections for the S1 joint I used to get 6-8 weeks pain relief from them
Thanks for the reply. Was the pain relief immediate or did it take a few days?
Immediate I also had radio frequencies where they burn off the nerve that is even better
Hmm, my pain is slightly lessened. Some days it hurts less than others anyway so I am feeling doubtful that the injection will help. Has the RF been a permanent solution?
Tomorrow morning I’m having a steroid injection in my S1 below my L4-L5 spinal fusion. The pain dropped within 10 days, but came back after 10 days. It was hit or miss. A nerve block above my fusion didn’t work. Next I may have a spinal pain stimulator to prevent the pain sensation before it reaches the brain.
Everyone reacts to pain differently.
my experience and just for reference I had my first orthopedic surgery not resulting from injury at 37 with total joint replacements of both knees, both hips and both ankles fused, before I was 52, is they work fairly well for non-weight bearing joints, specifically for me shoulders. However, not nearly as well for weight-bearing like knees or ankles.
I have had them on several occasions, good relief but variable in length of relief. Give it a good, not painful but strangely uncomfortable.
I got the injections 4 days ago and felt a little relief the first day but now back to the same pain.
Has anyone had any luck with arthritis drugs, my problem is said to be Osteoarthritis in both si joints but strange how it happened to come on after my l5 si fusion surgery?
