Hi all . Like many of you here I have multiple health problems, one of which is 2 compressed vertebral fracture's which have become incredibly painful. I have Osteoporosis although I was, initially, told that it was cancer. Having had lung cancer and a Lobectomy I was worried at the thought of cancer of my spine. Then the hospital decided that it wasn't lung cancer but Osteoporosis. As they made an error for 15 month's with my lung cancer and I don't trust any of the medic's apart from my lovely Thoracic Consultant. Being left for 15 month's with cancer and no treatment has left me with multiple problems. My knee's are absolute agony as well. I wanted to ask whether any of you have had the Nerve Blocker's and whether this might work for my vertebral pain? I have been suffering with chronic pain from Endometriosis, 3 major ops and other problems but this pain from the fracture's is off the scale . Have had no help from my Dr. Still don't know whether I have Osteoporosis or the cancer has spread but I am deteriorating. Pretty desperate too ! Take care all.

I have had several facet joint injections, some in right place and some not. If done right I have nearly 100% relief and that will last for several months. You need the best expert in their field to find the right nerves needing blocked.
Hi. Thank you so much for the advice. We don't have any experts here, unfortunately! Somehow I would make the journey to Edinburgh or Glasgow or anywhere that does have an expert so I will speak to my Dr. about that . I am in agony every day with no help or support and Covid in Scotland has affected the NHS in the North really badly . I'm not the only one to say that ! I am so desperate and am on loads of Opioid's and Morphine but my body has got used to them and the breakthrough pain makes me feel sick.Thank you again and take care. Best wishes, Danni
Is that your kitten? We have a 17 year old cat who looks like the photo but she is completely deaf and very needy and adorable!
I attend Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Pain Management Clinic. The Prof on the team has carried out my procedures and once he located the pesky nerves has managed to numb them a few times. Was supposed to get them burnt off but I am morbidly overweight and he won't do that procedure until I lose some weight. Easier said than done! I have found out more from fellow patients than I have from my GP. There are services the pain clinic offer that I was not aware of and I have been going for five years. This wee cherub is now a 2 yro ninja and stays with my daughter. I have my own vampire kitten, will get a foto attached!
Now that is one cheeky kitten! Just gorgeous. I dread the day that Freya goes . We won't be able to have another kitten because we live in the country by a single track road and more and more houses are being built and so more car's and van's and they go so fast. They don't care about the wildlife either and 9 Red Squirrel's and a Badger have been killed on our road this past year! There is a woodland across the road so we have wildlife there and we now have an adult Red Squirrel and it's baby in our garden. We have been so lucky but we have had a kitten and a cat killed and poor little Freya was hit a couple of times when she was younger and had a broken pelvis. She adored our dog's and misses them so she is very spoilt! Would love to see your kitten.I went to Dr Gray's in Aberdeen many year's ago when I had Endometriosis because I had a wonderful Gynaecologist there. Much better treatment there than up here! The Nurses here are great and my Thoracic Consultant is wonderful because he dealt with my lung tumour and asked why it hadn't been dealt with. I told him I didn't know that I had one ! I still had to go to Glasgow to have a Lobectomy! I get SO angry at the attitude of some Consultant's because they can be so arrogant and patronising! Grrrrr! Difficult for you to lose weight when you are in pain. Looking forward to seeing your ' vampire kitten ' ! Take care and please let me know how you get on.
Hi. Thank you . It means a lot when you speak to somebody who understands don't you think? I did read your bio and I can really relate because I have always had dog's so walked them every day although my husband took over at weekends! Twice a day in the wood's and now I can walk round the garden and I'm in agony so can't have a dog any more. If our hospital hadn't left me for 15 month's with cancer and no treatment and ' forgot ' to mention it , then I wouldn't have multiple health problems. And , yes, I'm still so angry about that! I loved walking, gardening, visiting people, painting and so much more but now I'm in bed every day by 2.30 p.m. I'm so sorry! That all sounds so self pitying and I didn't mean it to !You are going through so much too. I really do understand and empathise. If you need to offload then I'm here so please don't feel that you are on your own .
