I don't know about TRACCs, but I just wondered if ME has been ruled out as a diagnosis.? Pain and fatigue are two of the symptoms.

that is actually what TRACCS specialise in! they mostly treat ME (which i will probably be diagnosed with) but they also look for diagnoses in people with unexplained headaches and seizures. thanks for your comment!

I have a long historical of ME/CFS and have had access to various clinics in hospitals. Usually under neurology. Never heard of term TRACCS….??

hi, it’s a service provided by the NHS (at UCLH) for children and adolescents with symptoms like pain, fatigue, seizures and headaches that cannot be diagnosed. here’s the link: uclh.nhs.uk/TRACCS

Interesting. Thanks for the link. Although I was much younger when diagnosed with ME/CFS I was still an adult in my twenties so unaware about services for children and young people.

Yes I was diagnosed in 1990 when I was 19.It's been a terrible illness to find the balance.

Yes I agree. I was diagnosed around 1995/6. I have had some good hospital /out patients support over the years. But have always struggled with the lack of understanding from some medical practitioners and people such as work colleagues, so called friends and so on.Too many people succumbed in the 90’s to the “yuppie flu” analogy. Even today some people simply don’t try to understand.

As well as ME/CFS I have additional health issues that all contribute to my fatigue and muscle pains and so on. Is all very difficult at times. 😢

They really also look into ME/CFS or Fibromyalgia.?

their focus is definitely ME/CFS but i’m sure they can diagnose and treat fibromyalgia. unfortunately because it’s a service that’s only offered at UCLH there isn’t a lot of information about it.
