So my wife has a large lump on her back. It’s below the shoulder blade and is about hand-sized.. it’s soft to touch.. any ideas?

If it's soft and movable possibly a harmless lipoma but no good guessing, good luck at the docs.

If it’s mobile it sounds like a lipoma. Just a fatty lump. They do not remove them on the NHS unless they ate huge, I had one removed on my upper arm and paid for it as it’s unsightly

I have one in the same place as your wife's and mines a lipoma which is harmless fatty tissue.
