What do I do?

So I can’t do many sports related stuff, but have discovered kayaking 🛶 and I absolutely love it ,it doesn’t do any damage to my body and helps with upper strength (needed to use manual wheelchair 👨‍🦽 my friend has kayaks and live very close to the sea so try and go as much as possible… anyway I wanted to buy a kayak well 2 one for me and one for hubby! We are not on great money but I think it would help me so much physically and mentally . And it certainly bonds us more as a couple . BUT.. hubby says as we are moving soon , we have other things to pay for ….

Am I being selfish? #torn

Are you moving closer to friends and/or the sea? If yes then you will be doing more kayaking so I would persuade hubbie. But at end of day should be joint decision not just his! Also point out why physically activity is good for you and you want to do with him. However if you moving further away from where can go kayaking (remember can do this on some lakes and rivers not just sea) then probably an unnecessary expense if not going to use them very often…..

Definitely need to find some kind of physical activity you enjoy and helps you stay in shape. If it bonds you and your husband closer and helps your mental health that is just an additional plus. However, if you are moving then expenses will be more during the move so I understand his concern. My advice if you work or have some kind of disability benefits then take the price of the kayak you want and every week put 5-10% away in a savings account that is hard to access until you have enough money to buy one. Then do the same for the other. It sounds like life is becoming more complicated with a move coming up. Those can be stressful and expensive so just take it slow for now while not giving up on your dream. That way you can work toward your goal while keeping things between you and hubby copacetic.

No I don’t think you are being selfish. But then neither is your husband. I would sit down and see what your outgoings are going to be, maybe write them down and see what is really needed and what is not. See how much is left and if a a kayak can be purchased. If not outright then see if you can put some money to one side every month till you have enough.

I'm sorry that you have health problems, but it's good that you still managed to find a suitable occupation. I don’t go in for sports at all, because I don’t have time, but I discovered sports betting. I was advised to take a look at dimers.com/bet-hub/nfl/sche... and it helped me a lot to figure out how everything works. Great site with sports predictions.
