Bad hips pain

So, I'm a dancer since ever, not professional but I just love it, and lately, my hips are aching badly. At first, I thought it could be piriformis syndrome as I suffered from it after my second child was born, but it's not as the pain source is a lot closer to the illia crest and less to the piriformis area, which got me thinking of my muscles around the hip/pelvis movement - any ideas there? Like all of a sudden my right leg feels shorter and stiff.

There are all sorts of exercises on YouTube, which I have found extremely helpful with similar problems.I also find a therastick very useful for ' thumbing' those hard to get at spots.

Good luck.

I wonder if it could be your sacroiliac joint? Are you hypermobile? The SIJ can sublux which can disrupt the balance of the pelvis and leave you feeling like one leg feels shorter.

Yes, I had that in mind as well, I'm not that hypermobile, I do have some joints that are more flexible, but I wouldn't categorize myself as a hypermobile, though I'm super stretched and flexible.
