Leg stiffness

I have leg stiffness between my knee to my thigh. I just had a neck injection so I was off NSAIDS for over a week. The leg stiffness happened during that wait time. It was so bad that I had trouble walking. As a back story, I do have degenerative disc disease, so my lower back is fused from L4-L5 and C5-6-7, plus bulging discs and foraminal stenosis with a Spinal Cord Stimulator that works fairly well. Any idea what can be causing the leg stiffness and why my leg muscles hurt?

Have you tried stretching exercises?

There are plenty on YouTube --- Brad and Bob have good videos.

So much of leg issues come from the lower back-- but we can help by stretching the glutes and sacro iliac areas.

Good luck.

I stretched last night and massaged by my sciatic nerve. Helped tremendously. Thanks for the advice. I’ll continue doing that so I don’t get muscle wasting.

I wasn’t sure what started the leg pain. My lower back still hurts. The neck injection helped my neck. With pain, after working I went straight to sleep the night before the injection. Could’ve been sleeping wrong. So many issues. Waiting on a call from the nurse. I have an appointment in 2 weeks. I will get knee injections for knee tricompartment osteoarthritis. It should help the leg too.

Vascular disease? What type do you have? Sorry to hear you going through this as well. Once the NSAIDs kicked in again, my legs felt better. The stretching helped a lot too. I hope I don’t have this happen every time I need an injection. Fingers crossed in healing.

I don’t see my GP for individual problems. In the US, I have a specialist doctor for each one. Too many “diseases” that need different care.

Please be careful if using Volterolero regularly, as it can cause kidney damage. I speak from experience - and now have stage 3 CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE (CKD).
