Neck Pain, pinched nerves

I believe I have pinched nerves in my neck and I think one of the nerves is the vagus nerve. I have had occiptal neuralgia since 08. But now my arms go numb while I sleep and my heart gets racy when I aggravate my neck. I get burning down my neck and my arms. It' a mess. I had an MRI and they said my neck is very very straight, so I have military neck. I had a neuro put little needles in me to find what nerve it was but he said nothing came back so that test must not be very reliable because my arms are still going numb. Frustrated.

Hi there, did your MRI scan show no marks on your spinal cord sometimes it can be pinched by just bending your neck and when it goes back to straight up looks ok . Putting needles in just checking for trapped nerve . My hands go numb in bed all the time but I have Cervical myelopathy . If it continues don't just put up with it get another opinion .

My MRI showed bulging disk and a very straight cervical spine.

Hi there, if you have bulging disk in your neck it needs looking at as it won't just cause pain it can effect bladder and bowels and arm and legs.

I have had the same problems and have an area in my lower shoulder blade that has nerve problems on top. I figured it was from a slipping disc in c6 area as it relates exactly to that area in my shoulder blade. Arm numbness is now not so bad. I have had it for five years now, no op, just take gabapentin.
