I’ve no idea which group to chat on but anyway can having just a very bad cough be a symptom of covid? No other symptoms but a really bad annoying cough. A friend has IT and is now paranoid what if it is that

Phone your doctor to arrange a test if she thinks you might have it.

In the UK the first stop if you think you might have covid-19 is to contact NHS 111. They will be able to among other things, arrange for you to have a test. They can also go through any symptoms you might have and give advice.

Jut a cough might not be covid-19, because having a virus going through the population doesn't stop other viruses and bacteria from circulating.

She’s going for a test both to see if it could be covid and also peace of mind. Except there’s quite a long waiting list!

Yes it could be, she should self isolate and get a test done if possible. She might not get any other symptoms but she has to be careful not to spread it
