My family including myself been reading about vivid spreading a lot again but not not thought much of it - abit silly of us. My sister who is married hasn’t been feeling well has been feeling too well - achy tired like typical cold. We thought nothing of it. But out of paranoia she did a test and it is positive 🙈. She has covid. Had it a year ago. Have people had it again recently?

Reinfections are more common with Omicron, so people who have had the earlier versions are likely to get reinfected with Omicron. But having Omicron once doesn't protect either. the reinfection rate is lower if you have had Omicron once, but only slightly lower.

Omicron is highly infectious so yes, many people will be having it a second time because for some reason our government is too busy on other things and has taken their eye off the ball and people haven't been protecting themselves.

I felt the same last week, achy, tired, persistent cough. Did a test and it was positive. Still positive today a week later. Developed sore tongue too. Cough is a little better. OH has it too now.

Hi am still recovering from getting it on 18th September, I tested positive for 12 days in a row. I still have altered taste, a cough, headaches and the runs. I am fully jabbed , as has been noted the government and public have stopped worrying about it. Not something I want again !!

Hi Junny123

I hope your sister recovers quickly. Luckily I haven't had it at all but I live in Scotland the number of people with it is really high. Hospitals are filling up and we're being told no to go to A&E unless you have something life threatening. Lots of my relatives and some friends have had covid in the past few weeks so I'm going to start wearing a mask in taxis and shops etc and carrying sanitiser in my bag, staying away from crowded places and being more virus aware in general over winter. My neighbours thinks I'm being excessive but I have no immune system so I don't care what anyone thinks!

Oh fgs, here we go again. It's a cold / flu, I can't believe anyone is still 1) testing 2) buying into the hysteria. Ye gods.
