Hi I’m jennifer and wanted to know if others are facing episodes of extreme tummy pain due to gastro problems or frequent chest pain due to anxiety
Tummy or chest pain : Hi I’m jennifer and... - Pain Concern
Tummy or chest pain
What medications are you taking, sometimes medications can upset the tummy if you take them without food and drink
BOB
Hi no I’m only taking vitamins, beta blocker, gastro tablet and sleeping tablets. Nothing that needs to be taken with food but I know what you mean thank you
Yep, I have both. And with this virus going around, this feeling scares me 😳 and to top it off my gallbladder is only operating at 20% 🙄 my gastroenterologist says "I need to have it removed" I said " no thank you, let me think about it first and I will let you know" this feeling causes bad anxiety attacks, it just wears me out 😫😒☹
I’m sorry to hear. I know people like us already with worrying pain, this virus does heighten anxiety. I feel in a constant state of extreme anxiety due to already problems and then this causes insomnia..,,
I hope your gastroenterologist listens to you, mine never has
Dont worry about op for gall bladder removal. I had the old fashioned way, scar down chest to tummy, under anaesthetic. Nowadays its so easy keyhole surgery can be done under epidural.
You take care and dont fret too much
Hi....exactly that Jennifer...I have constant tummy pain, and intermittent chest pains from worry....I ve had the 'top to bottom' scar from the old gall bladder removal, and had the same scar opened 3 times for first a 2 inscisional hernia repair and then 7 inscisional hernia repairs 18 months ago.....last 7 months been getting pain, and both cardiac and gastro teams looking at it.....I did have gastritis and my GP sent me back to gastro to do a repeat endoscopy.....he's reluctant, why I don't know...GP thinks they missed something first time...didn't even call me back on a confirmed telephone appointment because ' he had nothing else to say '....called GP again and put me on tramadol for the pain and something for the sickness....IF we hadn't had this virus going round I would have been to A&E by now but reluctant to go to give them more to do AND because I'm worried about catching it...I do now see a councillor ref the anxiety and that really helps.....just have to stick with it until you get some relief, but don't worry about the surgery... that was a breeze compared to this pain now......good luck...Martyn
Hi .. i do have exact symtoms .. how are feeling now .. any update from gp and a&e please let me know
Hi....ended up at A&E in the end with really bad pain, no need to worry about COVID, no-one else there and well away from that area....had CT scan, bloods etc.....bloods normal CT showed some Diverticulitis (no meds yet) also had endoscopy which showed Gastritis had healed a bit......gastro consultant waiting for other floods to come back so due to speak 14 May......but now have right side head pain, tinnitus and earache.....perhaps is neuropathic pain but it's still real.....
Thankyou very much for the reply .. i have been suffering with this since march 15 due to anxity of corona.. i ahve been to a&e last month on april 12 th . They said chest scan ok and blood ok but liver has bit infection .
Still having chest pain and shoulder pain and bloating stomoch ... not feeling hungry.. always feeling something in my throat and bubbling sound in my upper throat when laying down
Hi Jennifer,
As a younger man I suffered both ailments you mention and the most upsetting was the chest pain which caused me a great deal of upset. The GP's thought it to be Heart Trouble or that I, was convinced, it to be Heart Trouble, which I did not. Eventually, after years it was finally diagnosed as Anxiety which had troubled me for six years, with agonising pain at times. I do still have it but much less. Seemingly, I learned it's really harmless and the pain is purely your muscles tightening when 'they' feel like doing so. But good painkillers do ease the pain.
