Hi sorry I’ve not been online for a bit as I’ve not been feeling very well as trouble breathing and I’ve found out I’ve got lung cancer even do I don’t smoke I believe it was from a old job years ago we’re the workshop room had asbestos in it for the roof cover and I worked in a pub before the smoking law came in and I inhaled more smoke over a period of seven days a week for twenty years and now I’m suffering for it From passive smoking and it is not very nice I say.

Hi how awful for you and I am so sorry to hear this. I really hope it's at the early stages and more treatable.

You might find more advice in another couple of sites on here - The British Lung Foundation and also the Lung Cancer one. I wish you the best. x

That's good then. On the sites I mentioned you will find others who have been/are going through the same thing who should be able to advise you.

This is a pain site so there might not be anyone on here who has been through this. x

Hi

I'm so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I wish the very best. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Please take care Lynne

How committed are you making a change in your health? The reason I ask is, I have spent many years (not to mention mucho dinero) and I believe I have gotten some really good tools for addressing health concerns such as this. But if YOU aren't really going to be "in it to WIN it!" - well, I don't know that it will A) work out well, nor B) be worth my time and energy to do the work with you that needs to get done.

Another way to approach it is, what are YOU willing to GIVE UP in order to have a different sort of experience of life? I got in this field by way of the side door, as a patient for many years with (firstly) an "incurable" diagnosis and (later) with a "cured" label that did not at all reflect the sad state of my wellness. I leave it as an exercise to the reader whether I was "ready, willing, and able" to make the necessary changes, early on!

Now I have a very extraordinary, wonderful life, and I like to share what I've learned - but only where it's actually going to make some kind of positive gain, give a benefit in someone's life. So let me know if you're interested. You certainly CAN make the needed shifts, but are you WILLING to change?

Healthy is the approach eating a healthy diet helps as well organic as possible. Certain herbs and such can really mean life or death in this situation. So sorry to hear but glad they caught it early that is a plus in your favor

Who the fuck do you think you are speaking to someone whom has just shared this with strangers . Jesus Christ how do you fkng sleep at night it's not worth your while well I hope everyone reads your reply and decides it's not worth their time and effort speaking to you . We do not speak to each other that way on here we try to help each other even if it's just shoulders to lean on . You make it sound as though it's Andrews fault for lifestyle choices he explained he worked in a passive smoke environment as many of our great comedians did and sadly died because of it . Is it their fault too Did they not give up enough make the correct choices . I'm sure with an attitude like yours the gent concerned would avoid you like dog crap on the pavement

Sorry about the bad news. At least it's the early stages. Good luck beating cancer. Many people do.

Hi. You need to find out from your consultant if your lung cancer is asbestosis. If it is, then you will need to seek advice about compensation as it is an industrial disease. Beyond that, I wish you well in your cancer treatment. Stay strong.

All I know isthatthere is a very good book out there called, 'All You Need to Know to Beat Cancer' by Chris Woollams. He lost his daughter to cancer and originally qualified as a microbiologist. Recommend in the hope it can help.
