Iv seen physio today, he has given me some information on some Australian guys to read up on, he also said it's about managing it really, not much they can do, I'm still waiting mri, any tips on how to manage refereed neck pain. I am so frustrated as the pain is intense and I can't afford to see the chiropractor all the time. I need to enjoy day to day life and it's incredibly difficult too feel optimistic about anything.
Thanks kat.

Hope you feel better soon. Look up stretches for shoulder and neck as well but be careful with neck.
Once you get your mri results then you.will know. There are also injections which you can inquire about to see if they will help you. People have found relief from steroid injections but you cant get too many of them.
Hi, yes my support worker said about injections but I think that's more a last resort thing plus I need to be more vocal appreantly. The physio did provide a link to something which is interesting to read but doesn't take the pain away🙄
Yes Naproxen ibrofuben Dizapam co-codamal and Amatriplim (can't spell last one oops sorry) the Dizapam took the edge off but was prescribed a few days worth 😶 👀 sorry you no the feeling too well. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
As entertaining it is for you, it is not what I expect from a physiotherapist, I need help in exercises and stretches, watching a YouTube video does not help in the slightest.
I have chronic pain and I’m still coming to terms with the old me disappearing as very limited on what I can do now....... and take a day at a time.......... not over doing things is my best advice......... slow and pace yourself ......... I hate the whole thing but I need to learn to accept that it’s long term....... good luck with your MRI 😊
Sorry to hear that, have you got med and physio etc if you don't mind me asking. I don't want to accept it, why am I in pain and it needs to be investigated.
No I don’t eithervbut been like it for 8 years and gets worse and worse every week plus flare ups, yes on meds and tried LOADS of different things but nothing helps!!! Doctors just day there’s nothing more we can do ........ so pretty much get on with it x
How do you function with day to day life. I'm 30 and finding it difficult to think well this is it kind of thing. Maybe I need a different mindset but it's just no way to live. X
Totally agree with u ...... I have to take one day at a time!!! I get overwhelmed a lot, frustrated a lot, hate asking for help - as don’t really get a lot, i tht I’d “get better “ but I’ve just got worse and on crutches, I’m in a flare at mo so I went out yesterday for the first time in nearly 2 weeks ....... I really struggle having a life....... I’m happy if I manage to go to a cafe with a friend as can’t do most of the stuff I use too!!! Hopefully u won’t be the same!!
Sending you hugs am so sorry it's like this for you X do you have a good support network? Even the simplest pleasures in life don't seem all that at the moment like watching TV etc. It's good you managed to get to the café I can imagine it taking alot of energy and strength. X
I've been living with chronic pain while sitting for years, drugs like amitriptyline can help massively with pain and they helped me get better sleep aswell, non addictive also, but take time to come off due to nature of the drug.
You can try using CBD oil, I know a lot of people here have used it with success. I use 600mg per 10ml ATM for pain and find it very useful. No side affects and been using it for over 6 weeks.
If you do use it, get a eliquid and Bose it as this increases the efficiency to 60% compared to 15% when absorbing via the tongue.
Thank you for your reply, sorry for your pain, thank you for that I have some and haven't taken any yet, the reason being is last year I came of anti depressants after 5 years of being on them and felt upset at the thought of depending on something again.
CBD is cannabis oil, the vape comes from an e cigarette, it's an electronic cigarette to encourage you to quit smoking. It has for me. The CBD helps with the pain.
URL below of the company who are at the forefront of cdb research. They have been pretty good until my latest order whi h has now taken 2 weeks to come, likely back ordered but they didn't communicate it very well untill I sent them an email asking where my order was.
There are other companies as the drug is legal in the UK, a lot of vape shops now sell the eliquid aswell so can go down and try those, many of those in most towns nowadays. But be very careful who you buy it from, there are many methods to extract the CBD oil and not all companies use the best method, provocan and a patented method that's safe which is why I stick with them.
I'd advise doing a lot of research into it all, as CBD has a lot of benefits but it's not always a one fix all. For my issue I'll likely need counselling to change my mind set on the pain, along with proper exercise and stretching, I see a sports message person for most of that, best person to go to in my opinion.
Anyways good luck with it all, hope you get well soon.
Thank you so much for your advice and suggestions, I will be mindful of the CBD oil, as it happens I have 5 sessions with a sports massager, I'm hoping 5 and my own Amazon massager will be sufficient enough. It's all quite costly! Thanks again and best wishes to you aswell. Kat
Perhaps consider using electrotherapy, for some potentially short-term pain relief? TENS or EMS devices can be really effective in helping reduce chronic pain. Also a drug-free alternative option.
