back and arm spasms waiting to see neuro doctor

Hi everyone, doing well in getting the weight down to help my back pain but still have pain in my lumbar spine and had an EMG and they found nerve pain my left side but the pain is in my right side and numbness from my knee down to my feet but just started getting like spasms in my back and I have lost sensation down my arm to my elbow feels very strange lost of sensation in the last days being having to tingle down my arm and my back started to spasms they think I may have spinal stenosis but can someone give me information please.

There are a couple of good websites on spinal stenosis, one of them being the Mayo Clinic: mayoclinic.org/diseases-con...

It is really great that you have lost weight, but not all conditions are caused by excesses weight. Extra weight can make what is already happening worse, but if the condition causing the pain is caused by something else and that something else is still present, then just losing weight doesn't always take the pain away. So it is a good thing you are going to see a neurologist as they will have the best answers for you.
