So after everyone liked the post the other day I though I would make another but the other side of things

What’s the worst thing about chronic pain that’s completely changed your life for the worst (except pain obviously lol)

My top 3 are;

1.Not being able to go soft play and run around like a kid with my son or any activities like the zoo etc or just the park (I loved doing that before I had him anyway tbh lol)

2. Going out and enjoy dinner and drinks or lunches with my son

3. Not being able to sleep on my left side at night anymore - might seem like a little silly thing to most people but only being able to lie on my right is awful (and getting little to no sleep)

What’s everyone else’s??

Unable to play in the park with my dog and grandson.

Chronic Pain sucks... I think it should be removed from the dictionary.. that nasty little booger, LOL

For me....

It took "ME" away frommyself, loved ones and friends, until I reinvented a "NEW ME" that the rotten chronic pain wouldnt be able to take away.

I have such a long list of what chronic pain and all my other illnesses have taken from me, BUT... if I kept talking about them.. they would win. Im the winner.. and I always will be. I have my days where I curse all of it and maybe even vent here in this forum or other places, BUT bottomline...its all made me extremely strong.. and a tough ass in life.

Remember.. the weak in the wild get trampled and eaten.

Find "YOU" again.. and chronic pain will be ur prey.

Remember.. as the saying goes (don't shoot me if Im off on this)… Life is about learning to dance in the rain!!!

Ive been through and still.. hurricanes, tsunamis, tornadoes and etc in my life, with my med crap BUT..Im still here surviving it all and u will too!!

Chronic pain takes so much away. No one undertands unless they experience it themselves.

Worst it makes you question whats the point of it all if you are going to be stuck like this rest of your life.

Yeah I ask myself that a lot 😔

Yep. I think at this stage only carry on for family. I don't why some suffer more than others. It sucks

Itsallinthehips in reply toAmk31

Yeah if it wasn’t for my little boy I wouldn’t carry on

I have to be for my son I need to set a good example for him. Trust me I have awful days where I scream and shout and don’t feel in control but I’m trying to work on that . I’m pretty sick of the NHS they like passing you from one doctor to anything which is very annoying

I know the feeling. I'm based in ireland. The public sector is horrendous here. To get anything it's private.

You would think modern medicine would find a cure at this stage.

At least we aren’t in the US though thank god I feel sorry for them. I would love to go private but I would need to win the lottery 10 times over lol I can’t get private health insurance as I have to many conditions lol

I can walk okay but suffer afterwards with my feet and lower legs burning, numbness and tingling which goes on for days before it settles down again xx

I miss all the normal activities but especially not been able to do anything without pain and discomfort. Oh to be able to unscrew a bottle top , pour tea , do the garden without frustration of immobile and painful joints.

Yeah I forgot about the making a cup of tea and unscrewing anything lol

I like hippolove’s post. You are amazing hippolove 😀. Anyway I really miss my independence, walking my dog like karjade and going out for meals etc and good nights that see me fall asleep till the morning.
