Hi everyone, Just came across this group whilst trying to search for some help from my pain. I have ME, Fibromyalgia and a bulging disc which is pressing on a nerve and causing sciatica. Just tried the strongest strength CBT oil today praying it would give me some relief but it didn’t. I must have spend hundreds over the years and things to try and ease the pain. Waiting to see a spinal surgeon and to go to pain management but in the mean time I am in so much pain I just don’t know how much longer I can go on like this. Anyone in the same boat or can offer some advice to help reduce the pain I’m in please?

Unbearable pain
hi and welcome to you.we have a page called fibromyalgia uk on here that might get you more support along with this page as well.
Pain management is really useful for coping long term.
With regard to your FM, see if you can talk your doctor into testing your free T3 to see if your really hypothroid, The symptoms of this are almost identical, but drug companies make more from all the drugs that don't work for FM, rather than the simple one that does for Hypothyroidism. Lots of information on this on Thyroid UK.
Going through the same - fibro, bulging disc, sciatica, oesteo in spine, scoliosis etc etc. Still searching for a 'miracle' drug myself. Am on fentanyl patch, endep, diazapam, stemitil, oesteopanadol - & still in pain. I've forgotten the long list of other drugs (&side effects) I've been through. Damn shame about the CBD - I was contemplating looking further into that. But at a cost of $300 month (in Australia) - & not knowing if it will work, I continue on as a frustrated & cranky old gal who wonders where it will all end!! Take care. xx
Some of the same issues here. I have no answers. I go to a pain clinic and I work half-time in bed. Compassion for you, and also for any of us who are suffering from all this pain in the body. I only tell myself that I still have a beautiful heart that is loving, a soul that is healthy, and I try not to move. I was sent to a physical therapist. After she looked at MRI, she said she didn't want to work with my spine for fear of causing more problems. So I am going to work on water walking as soon as I locate a pool nearby. I hear that it is a great exercise for all of these problems. I'm hopeful.
Water walking & other gentle water exercises are fantastic. Floating is just magic - little pain & just chilling out! We go to Moree (NSW Australia) artesian baths twice a year & stay a week or two (it's a 7hr one way trip). Natural underwater minerals piped into 4 different man-made sitting pools: 34, 35, 36, 37 degrees. The swimming pool is 27 degrees. Unfortunately no heated pool locally. Council funds go to planting pretty shrubs & shoving 'artwork' into the middle of roundabouts! So many people in pain would bless them if they put that (our) money toward a heated pool. Take care. xx
i'm so sorry you are suffering. last week I had a hip replacement. for two weeks before that I lay in bed wondering if I could make it through the next hour... and the next hour... and... I knew it was coming to an end, which helped. how long do you have to wait for your appts? also, cbd can take some time to work as it needs to build up in your system.
I'm so sorry u are suffering this much, how difficult it must be for u. Xxxx
