Hi guys , I got rejected from St Thomas as I’m not independent enough for their clinic ( they could of told me that on the phone insted if making me do a extremely painful 9 hour round trip)

So now I’ve been referred to The one in Bath

Does anyone have any experience there? What is it like? I’ve never even heard of one there only even st Thomas

Im only 28 and a mum to a 5 year old I’m going for chronic pain in my hip, hyper mobility. I’m bed bound on crutches and use a wheelchair when I’m out and about and can’t sit for longer than an hour 😒

Hi, I've not written anything on here for a long time. But your post sounds just like what I m going through.

I have hip dysplasia in both hips and have had a total hip replacement in the right, but it's made no difference to the pain I'm in.

I too have been referred to Bath for the 3 week inpatient stay. Mainly to help get my medication under control and withdraw from all the opiates I'm currently on.

Hope you get some news on the referral soon

Take care and best wishes

Charlotte

Yeah I’m waiting for my assessment, have you had your referral for long time?

I saw the Dr who recommended it before Christmas, but I had to be seen by physio first and my GP has to do the actual referral. Which is annoying as I don't see my GP from one month to the next and they know nothing about the inpatient treatment.

Plus I think it has to go through my local council who have to agree to fund it. So I'm thinking it won't be anytime soon, if at all.

I’ve had my referral letter already they said I should have my assessment in the next 3 months so fingers crossed 🤞
