Hi, Im 7 months out of TKR and wish I had never had this surgery. My knee is very mechanical feeling, sore and stiff. I have pretty good range of motion but not w/o pain. I dont need any pain meds and I dont take any RX or OTC drugs. I suspect my spine is the culprit as Ive have spinal fusion at L3-L5 and C7. I have severe stenosis and bulging discs and a frozen SI joint, which tilts my pelvic on one side, creating the illution of a short and long leg. Im seeing a Chiropractor and Physical Therapist and will be reevaluated by Ortho in January. Any input is appreciated. Also looked for a TKR forum but cant find any topic for this.

First off..love ur avatar of the German shepherd. I have an enormous gs pup.Have u thought about acupuncture? Just something to think about..im a mess n its helped me alot.
No but not a bad idea. thx
Try and manipulate your leg in warm water, this will increase the blood supply and the warmth should work against the pain.
Have you tried the use of TENS, a V-TENS may help with instruction. I purchase mine at Body Clock, a variable Tens can actually work as an EMF, this will tone the muscles around the affected joints, the same with our spine and neck problems. The secred I have heard is keeping joints moving Neck can be a real problem I have problems associated with C1,C2,C3. I use heat manipulation that seems to help, posture can also cause severe pain especially between neck and shoulder especially if you slouch.

Yes, I have a TENS. I use it occationally when really bad.I am very aware of my posture and believe I have these problems today because I had such bad posture previously. I think Ill just have to deal with these issues. thx
