Hi 59 years old. I have moderate to severe osteoarthritis in my spine and joints. I also have numerous problems with soft tissue surrounding the joint. After two years,. Five different consultants and every test known to man I have just been diagnosed with Chronic Pain Syndrome. I have just been referred to a specialist pain management team. As anyone else been given this diagnosis?

Hi, just to say about 10 years ago I went to pain management group,weekly sessions for about 6 week course, I found it very beneficial and they teach you how to manage and cope with severe pain, I met one of my best friends there too , good luck.
Hi Badbessie, the new pain management process for Arthritis is taking off with a bang. It is a good thing and they have groups to meet for around six months at a time to help you manage your pain possibly without painkillers Arthritis Coventry were told. I have been the initial assessment is very thorough but could not proceed due to having a broken shoulder. I hope to be re-referred in January for advice ect. Appointments usually come through in less than a month for assessment . Hope this helps you
I have terrible pain in right hip and back , my G P said I got Osteoarthritis I get physio but that does not help or pain killers, fed up with this horrible pain day and night .
