Please help

Hi, so I was given morphine yesterday for my pain and I’m also on cocodamol (I was told it was still ok to take it) I had about 9ml yesterday in total and 5ml today of morphine but today I’ve been having the feeling of being overheated and the chills - is this normal or should I be worried? I’m a bit concerned. Please any advice would help.

Hey thank you, I spoke to the pharmacist and he said the overheating is nothing to do with it so I think it might be my IBS playing up so I honestly feel better. Thank you for the advice!

I am also on co-codamol, extra strength and prescribed, and liquid morphine for 24/7 back pain. I don't have the effects you describe, but think you should consult dr before taking another dose, to give you peace of mind.

Co-codamol isn't suitable for some people.

You say: "I’ve been having the feeling of being overheated and the chills". This may be the combination of the drugs and your reaction to it. It may be an infection. You need to investigate and observe yourself.

Just because someone says this cannot happen does not been it won't. A lot of drug reactions go unrecorded because a pharmacist or doctor says it cannot happen.
