I am sorry Maisie1 you are still worrying about your headaches being a brain tumour.

You have had the scans and answer has come back from professionals...NO.

If this is going to carry on worrying you have you thought about counseling?

cbt (in reply to Bananas5) for headaches is a waste of time. See an Alexander Teacher or chiropractor. Both these professionals have a good probability of removing the cause of the problem. Remove the cause and anxiety levels drop. Reduce the problem and anxiety problems drop.

I suggested counseling to help Maisie1 overcome her fears of anything medical

Thanks for the reply. I did not realise that Maisie1 was responding to something you suggested. I misinterpreted the meaning of the sentence.

My experience is reducing the anxiety level though working on the posture and hence the fascia thus reducing the anxiety level and thus taking emotional stress away from the stress break down point.

We feel emotion in the body. The fascia has thousands of nerves which feed messages to the brain. THe brain responds to the nerve messages from the fascia.

I think u may just be giving urself a headache through stress!

If u constantly worry about having a brain tumour u will get a headache.

It like if i sit here and go my leg hurt my leg hurts soon ur brain will believe ur leg hurts!

Ur brain is a powerful thing!

It can make u believe anything.

U have to take ur mind of these thoughts ie go out, see friends, watch a film, get into a boxset ANYTHING that takes ur mind of it... ur then find ur headache will just go

Hi I think if you had a brain tumour you wouldn't just have a headache but would have unbearable pain pounding at your head constantly! Unless you have this then you haven't got one! You might also find yourself speaking gibberish too.

There are a good couple of anxiety sites on here and it may help you to join one of them. Health anxiety is very common and you would be able to talk to other sufferers which might help you. x

Yep I felt the same and I was worried I had an abcess on my brain as I'm prone to them, I was headache free for several months, but they've come back with a vengeance, so I had a scan a couple of years ago, and it was clear, but the headaches are skull busting and wake me up in the early hours, sometimes getting 3 in a 24 hour period, it's a lonely place and sitting rocking on the bed with tears running down my eyes, it's always the same symptoms, but trying to understand why is another thing, so I understand your concerns I hope your scan gives you a better idea what's happening, I never thought a headache could dish out so much pain, so I'm fully aware of how you feel, best wishes
