Hi fizzy 12. Where did you get your ' recommended dose' from and what strength of oil are you using ?
It's recommended that you start of small and build up with CBD. It needs to be taken regularly over a period of time not like an ordinary painkiller.
If I take too much I may get a short period of being slightly sleepy but it wears off quickly.
I also wouldn't use high street oils but that a personal decision.
Hope you stop feeling tired and get benefit from cbd,

Hello, thanks for your reply. 5 weeks now. Very reputable supplier, not in UK. Just so damn sensitive to everything....life! Could tolerate a short period if being sleepy but totally stoned on half the recommended dosage i.e 10% 3x3. That’s quite high but so’s my pain and have been having trouble for donkey’s years. Actually, am in despair though it doesn’t read like that. X
The thing is you can't be stoned as CBD contains minute quantities of THC, the constituent part of cannibis that would get you like that.
I'd suggest joining a CBD support group. Facebook has several. Folks there have a much wider experience than I do.

Hi I been told use this oil but don’t know how or where but it as I’m housebound 17 yrs with no family alive. My 2 husbands died sudden deaths young as well as all my family as like me they had gene cancer all in early twenties. All dead under 42 inc husbands and all family between 22-42. I been on morphine at end of life dose for 9 yrs but now pain clinic decide that this shouldn’t have happened with all other drugs I’m on which is only half the drugs I was on. I e stopped half myself. I’ve also been on morphine since 24 which is over half my life. Morrisons delivery driver suggested this oil but I couldn’t remember name or where to buy until I saw this reply on my emails after supporting someone who was suicidal. Please help me get this as I don’t want crap grade as if you been in a 75mg fentanyl patch 72hrs I also had a 50 mg patch also by their mistake converting 17 oxycodeine tablets daily with 500 ml bottle oramorph every 5 days plus many other benzodiazepines and sleeping tablets controlled etc. Now I’m on 75mg fentanyl 72 hrs oramorph diazepam 2 strength in and out dosset box plus another 35 drugs in dosset all for disabilities and thyroid anaemia vitamin d etc. I have others out of dossettas well as I’ve got over 300 group allergies to everything food cleaners antibiotics creams shampoos etc etc. I need try this oil. I’ve tried cannabis and skunk and was only relief I got. I’m in hospital bed at home lay on left side 7 yrs sat up on left elbow left hip all damaged by pressure. Can’t put right leg in bed due to pain. I have multiple problems inc spinal stenosis arthritis spine sciatic nerves in back trapping, slipped discs, fibromyalgia I was one of first be diagnosed in Uk with in 95 and had teach Drs consultants most my life as was never heard of until recently. I also have osteoporosis osteoarthritis plus many others. My life is constant pain. I’ve battled past cancer at 22 and 26 defying all oddds of being alive and making history in Uk but what’s point if your wasting away indoors and you get out bed and out your wheelchair after 9 yrs make some progress only to keep falling and go backwards again ? I’m suicidal at moment but have 2 dogs that I got last yr to stop me killing myself and get me out of bed as I knew my cats wasn’t doing that. I gave myself one last push as all the consultants gave up on me. They even took my care away 3 yrs ago in June. Now I want help desperately. The services I should had now have been axed. This stuff is my last hope and I’m not a person who can email easily and I never write emails or post messages or bother with forums or social media but I’m desperate enough ask you people for help. Please tell me where I can get string stuff from and how I go about it remembering I’ve never done anything like this before and the cannabis and skunk I tried was many years ago now and my husbands mates who not seen since his sudden death in same yr I lost my last 2 sisters and dad, 2010. Which plant is it from? It should say on the bottle whether it is Indigo - which will make you sleepy or Sativa which doesn't. I recently foun out that Holland and barrett dilute theirs with other oils and doesn't even say cbd on the ingredients label! Grape tree on line and in store stock a very good sativa based cbd, lab tested and completely pure.
It shouldn't make you feel sleepy, I only take a dose of mine when the pain gets very bad and haven't had any problems. Which brand/ company are you using?

Speak with someone who knows about CBD oils...you always start on low strength and build up.
And don't waste your money on High Street ones either.

Get it from a highly recommended supplier. recommended by a friend and totally trust them for the purity of their products. I woukd never ever buy that High Street stuff. Because my pain is so intense and has been going on for so long, I was recommended to take the 10% 3x a day. I know this is high, but even that leaves me, within minutes, with a slightly “unreal” feeling, a small amount of relief but it just doesn’t last. 3 x 3 makes me just fall flat on my face! So I just take 2 drops first thing and then 1 drop two hours after that as dare not take even another 2. So, take a cocodamol and that’s the thing. Relieves the pain but leaves me totally stoned....understandably as its the wrong thing to do. Bit of a bind. So am wondering if should do the full monty and take 3 x 3 on non working days like today and see what happens...but really I know will be all over the place.
Have you spoken with your supplier?
If they are as good as you say they will offer help and support for as long as you need it.

Will do, but hate to be a problem as so many others are quite happy with it. Because ts not really worked, saw nothing wrong in at least seeing a specialist for an “opinion”. Rightly ir wrongly.
So had a “diagnostic” plus steroid injection, and should that have worked doc wants to go in and do the real thing. The thought of that is really not what I want, really horrifying, as prefer to do things naturally. Really trying. Trying on the family too....a stoned Mum, not a good example!
Anyway, have just taken first three drops OMG. Have a free day so might be sleeping the rest of it, but ...... will report when compos mentis again. 🤪🤪🤪
You can't get stoned on CBD. That only happens if you take the thc and that is the part which is illegal in UK.
Sometimes we have to work with conventional meds and natural products to get a balance of manageable pain levels.

You are so right. “Stoned” is completely the wrong word, sorry. What I meant was a feeling of intense exhausted and a bit spacy. (But this was with added cocodamol - won’t do that today).
Took the second dose of 3 drops of the oil an hour ago. I believe it has helped a little...got home ok....feeling less of the above now, but unusually relaxed!.
Another 3 later but as am home, it will be difficult to know. Working tomorrow and will keep up this regime, that should determine more as to whether the higher dose is working. 🤞🏼 Happy Easter 🌸

Sorry must be me the hardened druggy they all turned me into. Yes that’s what I call myself after what the consultants at hospital and pain clinics did now they want do the reverse just like that after 26 yrs. what a joke. Furthermore they didn’t even discuss it with me for the 4 mins they spent with me after 8 yrs waiting see them again. No they wrote it in a letter to my dr. Spineless idiots.
Doc now turned attention to hip replacement as diagnostic injection into sacroiliac joint didn’t work. OMG. MRI today. Been taking CBD oil - 10%) for some time......it may be helping but how does one ever know how much worse the pain would have become without? Anyway, fear and trembling all round. Don’t know if want to be mucked about with (again - uselessly). Will post result, may be beneficial to others. 😖🌈
Fizzy dr don’t do injection tell u that u need hip replacement when it’s not even his field and send you for a scan all in the same visit. Your credibility in here was already going from 10- 3 with your other bull posts but that one has finished it off with anyone who knows anything like I do about injections in hip that I just had 20 days ago and since I’ve had well over 40 ops and major surgery on Feb 27th just and they won’t iperate on me again I can tell you there’s no way your getting away with that bull as first the injection your dr gave you needs at least a month or more to work and may need further injections to try first before he’d send you for an x day not a scan and then it’s an orthopaedic surgeon who determines after his own test if you need hip replacement and I know at least 15 people who’ve had hip replacement and 3 that had it 4 times. So go chat your sh*t somewhere else as there’s genuine people in here in real pain wanting proper advice and wanting chat with genuine people who have pain and disabilities and most have at least 1 or more disabilities or diagnosis which you haven’t even answered 1 question you been asked about anything just excuses. Your full of crap. Go away. I’ll say what others already think. CBD cannot make you stoned at all under any circumstance , it’s the THC in the plant that does that.
I've been using Medipen cbd vape pen for more than 3 yrs which really helps me cope with constant neuro pain. The one thing it doesn't help is sleep unfortunately. I am quite surprised to hear that cbd is causing such a reaction as I have only experienced this with complete cannabis consumption. Maybe its worth checking that it is just cbd oil.
I know....its just me and my ridiculous sensitivity. The oil is definitely pure CBD and I trust my supplier. Its a drag and so lovely that people like you are prepared to take the time to reply. X

I use Medipen, its a vape pen. The cartidges contain medical grade coconut oil and cbd oil. they do different flavours but I've never tried any. I just get unflavoured. The starter kit is about £50 and then you can just buy the cartridges for about £25 each. They do lots of discounts though, just search for Medipen. Hope this helps.
How much do you use as I look at them but it’s just seems crazy expensive as when I was using a different CBD vape I was going through what a cartridge would hold in 1/2 days.
I no idea what it is your using or it’s benefits and if you read my top post to the person your replying to you’ll see my history of hardened drugs. I ask anyone please reply with a suggestion knowing my history to hardened drugs of end of life dose I’m on that pain clinic is desperate for me off. They’ve already caused heart and liver damage. I’d love to get off or detox like I do every few yrs some of the drugs or swap to something else but unfortunately I’m needing something else to do that and I won’t be able to without it. So I invite anyone knowing my history I put on and when I say end of life dose my dose equals the last 2-4 hrs of a cancer patients. I got some but only used it a couple of days and left it at that, not sure what was actual effects.
Bless you, maybe keep trying lower dose for a few days then gradually increase to see if you can build up your tolerance levels. I have not tried the drops as not sure if I would cope with oil in my mouth, (my autistic brain thinks cooking oil) lol. It would be so much easier if they legalised cannabis as we could then grow our own medicine and eat it. I found it works so much better when eaten fresh in a salad without the heavy "stoned" feeling or exhaustion. Good luck and gentle hugs x

Hi Kath I suggest you join a support group if you are on Facebook. Lots of advice there.
CBD works well for me. Start low and work up. Green paste initially. I rice sized piece 3 times a day, leaving 2 hours either side of other painkillers as CBD uses the same receptors as pain medication. You need to leave at least 3 weeks to judge effectiveness. This is not a 'in pain take a dose, wait for result' type treatment. It has to be regular.
I use purple capsules at night but only started using them recently once my system was used to the cbd.
On the CBD consumer Forum there are facts sheets and advice sheets. Best to read through them and get a better idea of what this is all about.

Cocodemols are useless I'm on the strongest but it doesn'the help at all now so stopped taking them as I had ran out of prescription so got paracetamol extra from aldi and can't believe the difference used to take 8 cocodemols a day now only take 1 paracetamol in the morning and 2 an hour before going to bed and pain halved. I have got bad arthritis in my hips and knees should have had a hip replacement 9 years ago lost 3 stone to have the op then got breast cancer so all went downhill and didn't have the op

Paracetamol are not as strong as Co codamol. It’s the change in drugs that sometimes tricks your brain plus if you also convince yourself that one which your used to after many years isn’t working, which I’ll add it won’t be working as your body needs more as you get used to it, then by switching drugs you can fool your brain and also you fool your brain by telling yourself that the paracetamol in this particular case of this lady is working. She feels an Aldi brand works yet there’s no different ingredient in all paracetamol no matter who the brand is which is why they say repeatedly you pay for a brand name yet many can be made at same place. Such as Unilever aka was crossfields my brother used to make all these drugs, he wasn’t on the washing powders etc side, he was on the drugs side and he also worked his way up from 16 up to 30 but then got into cannabis and wrecked his career there last straw was parking twice in the M.D. of crossfields space which he was sacked for. After a year or so , he then got himself together and went working at fisons pharmaceuticals and again was producing the drugs side plus also lethal chemicals for a few years as well as that’s his experience. It’s omportant to remember how the brain works with drugs and how drugs your on work or don’t work after long stints on them. Someone in cannabis needs skunk or something else after many years. Someone like me started on Co codamol equagesic none of you heard of I bet. Df118 voltraol plus many others. I had so many but then u keep moving up as they don’t work after long periods and increases and by 25 I was on temgesic sublingual and 5 stone with narcotic poisoning. I was so ill ss took my daughters as I was classed as 25% disabled , they took 500 kids that yr illegally. All were adopted except mine after 18 months which gave me chance to keep fighting like I had been as I’d already made myself homeless and left to get a treatment offered in court but was expensive and they decided too expensive and long for my kids wait so decided adoption and my kids were pretty very young only 1 & 3 and £70,000 each a year in 95 was too expensive for fostering all discussed in front of me like they were for auction but adoption bought in £35,000 for the local authority for my kids. A family had 4 kids ok. Look how much ss made on those kids. Some these kids taken off Solicitirs barristers and they closed down our nationwide telephone support line to help each other with legal advice given. All hiush hush. Until I was hounded by same social workers I Mk then oxford and was being harassed whilst in treatment and went in studying law plus still travelling up other end country 3 days week see my kids in 21 hr days and also seeing county councillor get an enquiry into ss in Mk. Which I did, we did. They were in national news, papers everything for taking illegally the most kids ever in 1 yr and only my 2 with law I created came back but bitter sweet it’s been as they were brainwashed I was dying by Mk social workers which my kids never forgot and never will and they never got over it and social services paying their support last few years as dwp don’t whilst they live alone in their own place 16 up at college etc have brainwashed them again with lies and refused pay their clothes rent food if they didn’t cut me off just as I had finally took legal action on them and had been invited by them sue them and had met their legal team and high commissioner for the damage they’d done as I’d been dealing with a violent child who had adhd which has injured me many times causing some of my disabilities. So not everything black white with anything in life. Pain killers are 1 step to next level always. Same as any drug on street. It’s no different believe me. You just swap them around for different to try get relief. I’ve never done street drugs except as I said I smoked spliff and had no pain few times more so with skunk which I can tell difference. But I’ve seen people on that sell everything and no job and nasty as hell. They’d beat their mother. They’d sell their mother if they could.

So have just tried, first time, taking 3 drops (!) and anither 3 at lunchtime and 3 more later (as have day off). Highly nervous as to wots going to happen! Fizzy and others who are nervous about cbd products, 'nothing is going to happen'. You don't get high or do things you wouldn't normally do.
But just remember not to dismiss cbd if it doesn't work immediately. It can take 3 weeks for your body to start using it properly is a way to look at it.

Hi. Disappointingly, it is definitely the cbd oil that's making me drowsy! No cocodamol either. Have been taking 2 months now and no appreciable pain improvement. Accept fatigue is not one of the side effects......but its all very odd. Just an exception, I suppose. 😥😤
Very disappointing that cbd is not helping. I would give it one more shot with the supplier I suggested and using green paste instead of oil.
I am not sure which bits of you are sore but if its a small area the topical balm could be rubbed on. Sorry not to be more help

Fizzy stop the bullshit plz. If your dr don’t an anti inflammatory ink he not sent or sending you for scan until he knows it hasn’t worked and he has give it time and may do more than one. He’s not told you whilst administering an injection he’s sending you for a scan and it’s an x Ray not a scan for few reasons. 1 because it shows socket and bones he wants see and 2 because there’s no wait and 3 and more the reason because dam site cheaper for nhs

I can’t even put right side in bed which why I’m on my left hip and left elbow causing lot of bed sore damage to muscle and skin tone. It’s first time I haven’t agreed with my Drs course of action but he thinks the left hip socket and muscle is inflamed despite the pain has been worsening for years not just come on but I hadn’t been moaning constantly about it until last few home visits as I’m limping to toilet back without wheelchair as doesn’t fit in there. So fizzy is annoying me with his bullshit drama when people in here with severe illnesses and disabilities and pain that many have multiple or will have multiple as years go by like I’ve got 17 now. You are extremely insulting and your posts should be taken down. I am not an idiot and well know the difference between xrays and scans. I am also aware of my health problems and the extreme pain with which I am suffering and have done so for over twenty years.
This helpful site is not a pain competition. One should be sympathetic to all. You never know what else the person is suffering from either physical or psychological. You do not know them. Not everyone pours everything out like you, but we understand it may be cathartic in your case and do not criticise or be abusive - unlike youself.
Hiya fizzy. I too am using cbd oil. I don't find it makes me sleepy. But the taste is vile. I make sure i have a hot drink to drink straight after. I try to only take it when im having a really mega pain days. I bought mine from Holland and Barrett it cost me £9.99 instead of £19.99.
Hi Debbs. I think the sleepiness s caused by using too low a dose of cbd and then cocodamol when it stops working (after an hour or so).
Are you using drops or capsules? Apparently the drops work faster but you need to wait ten minutes before eating or drinking!

Cocodamol is the one with codeine isn't it? Probably more likely that is what is causing it. I know it made me tired and bit spacy when on full dose. And chronic pain is tiring too of course.
Like others said you can't get stoned off cbd. It could make you relaxed or even sleepy at higher doses but thc is what makes you stoned.
Yes it is, and combined with cbd oil for me its stupefying! You are right, used the wrong word - not stoned - but as you say over relaxed and somewhat spacy. Wears off by bedtime, unfortunately!

I came off opiates before trying cbd so not combined them myself.
Personally cbd helps me get to sleep (whereas opiates left me awake for hours) but everyone is different.
I vape it now as easier to do at couple of intervals through the day and particularly at night before bed.
Hope u manage to find what works for you. Cbd definitely isn't any miracle worker. People who really benefit from medicinal cannabis is because that (what is prescribed) has thc in too which can relieve pain when wrks together with the cbd. Presumably they don' put too much thc in that they get stoned! The more cbd in the more it counteracts the thc is how I understand it.

What is the lowest recommended dose? I find the dosage confusing. I have bought 250 mg. II believe this is the second lowest dose and that 100 mg is the lowest. Is this correct?
Thats what I’m on and I do believe its quite effective. Having said that, mornings usually start off quite well, getting to work etc., but today nothing helped. Just keeping 🤞🏼🤞🏼That haven’t started a new pattern......😥

Hi fizzy12, I bought some Trublu CBD Tincture 250 mg bottle £50 and i feel like i have been ripped off, i was told it was strong and to take 7 drops in the morning and 7 at night and that i would feel a big difference in a couple of days, i didn’t feel any difference at all, i phoned the shop after a few days and spoke to someone different she told me the strength was only 2% and to put the drops up to 10 x 2 a day , i have now been on 20 drops a day for 4 days and still don’t feel any different I’m still in chronic pain. I don’t know anyone who is on CBD so don’t know who to trust or where to buy it from. I would be very grateful for any help on this matter. Thanks
Hi all, I have heard that Holland and Barret are now selling CBD oil at 10% strength as well as the 5% weaker strength. Has anyone tried this stronger oil yet? I am thinking of giving it a go. I did buy some vape CBD awhile back only to fear that it was a chemically made oil. It did nothing for my pain. But it was on a buy one get one free offer on eBay. I want to buy a reputable oil that's natural not chemical. So many rip offs out there. If I find one that works I will let you all know.

Hi Kath, thanks for,your reply. I was the same as you on that weaker 5% strength. I shall wait until the 10% stronger is on offer. But as promised whichever I do try I shall report back on here. Hopefully between us, we will find a good not too expensive CBD oil, that helps us with our chronic pain and feelings of utter desperation and depression. Together we will find a breakthrough. Thank you Dave. I have tried another oil called Hemp Oil full spectrum 5% 2 squirts x 3 a day, I’ve never tasted anything so vile but everything is worth a try, i have been on it a week now but no changes in any of my problems. I will certainly have a look to see what is on offer. Thanks so much.

Hello, never heard of that make but it takes much longer than you were advised to kick in. You need to give it two weeks, as a minimum. Took me a month.....😬😬
It’s the cocomadol making you sleepy. CBD can have a synergistic affect with the codiene making you extra sleepy....
