have terrrible joint pains despite injection ..
beast from the east: have terrrible joint pains... - Pain Concern
beast from the east
We are all different; I found knee injection helpful although second did not last as long as the first and I know that if I was more committed to exercise that would also help.
Yes have also had knee and shoulder injections and after 3months pain came back so had shoulder op and knee arthroscopy....
Now have chronic pain in the 'butt' literally...falling apart...one body part at a time...and feeling very low..
Hope you're having an OK day...
Bea
Yes, it does seem to be one body part at a time, doesn't it? Hard to ignore and keep cheerful. I use a lot of lidocaine patches/plasters, prescribed initially by pain clinic, and I also always have a stock of those flexible ice packs in the freezer. There's usually one shoved down the back of my jeans, and inside my knickers over my left hip. I wrap it in a hankie first, so as not to get chill burns. Putting ice packs on knees is a bit more problematic
Helen..i didn't know you could get lidocaine patches etc...good to know,,,will ask at next Pain Appt. Really don't want to use ice packs...especially at the moment❄️ but glad they work for you!
Am having a duvet day to rest my joints and keep warm...hope you are warm wherever you are..
Best wishes
Bea
Yes, I understand about the ice, I would never have thought I could bear them - but the relief was so immediate, I was so surprised! I'm sitting here with my heated blanket/throw, and catching up with stuff (in Devon where we now have a Red weather alert - storm Emma and the Beast from the East clashing!). Enjoy your duvet day, hope you have a good book, etc.
I have no idea why i called this post Beast from the East...am losing the plot...😖
