Every day I feel so fatigue I get really bad upper back pain and in my neck. My throat also feels swollen. I’ve got problems some days I have constipation others I don’t I suffer with acid reflux and that’s putting me down because I’ve got to be so careful what I eat / drink . I get migraines probably about 4 times a month I have problems sleeping every night it’s 04:02 a m now... I’ve also got a problem with my scalp like it’s sore in different places and feels like someone is pulling my hair very senstitive and bumpy.. so much to cope with I feel so ill..

I do feel so sorry for you, I too have anxiety about my condition and I'm going for a colonoscopy next Tuesday and I'm so scared about what results they might find... Look there is not much we can do about anything, but see if you can relax a bit better, I have a friend and we phone each other in the middle of the night. . Doctors should listen to us more but they haven't got enough time, I too have back pain and acid reflux and very bad bowels so I can relate to all of what you've said, it's not nice is it, , what ever can we do, I really don't know,,.....

I hope your test goes well. Thanks for your reply it’s much appreciated and I’ve tried some heat pads and they’ve really helped my back today. Acid reflux maybe I should look at what’ I’m eating aswell. It’s strange how much stres can effect you. I really appreciate your reply it makes me feel like I’m not alone and i need to have more people like you to talk to as not a lot of people I know can understand nor relate.

Thank you. X

It is a shame that the GP isn't listening, because they should never stop looking for physical problems just because someone also has anxiety or depression. in fact sometimes it is an imbalance that causes these seemingly emotional states, not the other way around.

Have you read anything about autonomic dysfunction? Could that be what is underlying your problems?

Hi sorry to hear you are going through such a rough time and I hope you find some answers. I suffer from depression too and find the same as you. Any physical ailment seems not to be taken seriously as it is always seen as part of the depression.

I find the male middle aged doctors are generally the worst for this as they seem to think any middle aged woman is attention seeking and hypochondriac so I always avoid them and try and see a woman doctor or a young male one. I find they take me more seriously. x

i have chronic pelvic pain and it is severely impacted by stress. i find that walking every day elevates my endorfins so i do feel better. also if i'm still in pain i take a valium to settle my nerves and i get relief from the pain. hope that helps
