So my right side of my scalp and right top half of my face are in agony with nerve. All I can get to work is a tens machine, I'm already on lots of meds. I'm wondering what treatment options others have been given and what consultants and clinics you've attended?

Any advice welcome!

I'm on the usual meds (nortriptyline, pregablin, dihydrocodeine, baclofen etc) and I also have CRPS & arthritis. Thanks in advance! 👍

I had remarkable relief from Trigeminal Neuralgia pain after finding a Dr. who had a iontophoretic drug delivery system. Simply put, it delivers meds such as steroids, lidocaine through the skin [transdermal] along the affected nerve pathway via an electrical current. It was magic! i'll never forget the sensation of pain lifting as the meds traveled along the nerve. This was about 30 years ago, and I wonder why this approach has fallen by the wayside? I've passed on info to my Pain Dr. who promotes Prolotherapy. In my opinion, this doesn't come close to the relief from that little machine. I found a Physio Clinic that advertises ionophoretic therapy, but little else aside from discussion in scholarly med articles. Good luck in your search, I hope someone in your area can help!
