Try heat and ice go back and forth with ice than heat on your disks. But ask Dr first I Don,t want you messing it up worse than it is. So please ask Dr.
Hello yendormas, sounds like you might have some sciatic nerve pain. I definitely can relate to how you are feeling. Have you had an MRI or Xray accomplished? Normally the pain comes from pressure being applied to the sciatic nerve perhaps because of a bulging disc or herniated disc. Madlegs1 suggested looking up stretches on the internet, which is a real great idea. I have spent years in physical therapy doing tons of stretching, which does help. When sleeping, place pillows between your knees, or when sitting down try to prop your legs up on some pillows. I use a recliner with pillows stacked under my feet, this does help at times. Try a warm bath and pour epsom salt into the water. Hopefully you will find some comfort by doing some of the suggestions people offer you.
after a week of waiting, for my MRI scan, received a call from my Doctor telling me that the hospital had told him that must have an X ray done first so waiting again still uncomfortable and as yet except for pills and excises nothing being done or sorted for any forward movement. Also just lost my mum so that is not helping. Did anybody else who have had Piriformis or Sciatic pain have to have X rays first before having MRI done.
