Vijayrm, what do her doctors say? Maybe time to ask for referral to a Specialist. You don't say what other medications she has been prescribed. Look them up, side effects of different medications can be cause for other problems. Keep us posted.

Hi vijayrm. You don't say what your mother has been diagnosed with or whether she was prescribed calcium by a doctor. If you can a little more information would help.

Have you asked the Orthopaedic doctor about different pain relief? Does he/she understand how much pain your Mother is suffering?

Has your Mother had lots of blood tests apart from calcium?

Has she has blood tests to eliminate Thyroid problems?

What is your Mother's diagnosis?

Thank you for your kind reply,

She is also prescribed to take Arthocerin - DG daily 1tablet.

But our family doctor who is M.D. Experienced sr doctor they advised to take this medicine in limited, eg 3 alternative days in a week.

Thank you

Do you know what is causing your Mother's calcium deficiency?

Do you know what blood tests your Mother has had.

You could ask about tests for Phosphorus; PTH, Vitamin D, B12, Folate and Ferritin as well as Calcium and Full Blood Count.

I woukd guess that the calcium was prescribed to stop or reduce deterioration of the bones. Is your mother in a lot of pain ? Does she have difficulty moving and carrying out tasks such as a ring for herself ?

When was the last time her condition was discovered used with a doctor?

Hi Vijayrm, perhaps your mother is vitamin D deficient.

Has she had a blood test for this?
