Muscle twitching

I was wondering if anyone else has experience involuntary muscle twitching. My whole body twitches at different times, more so on Sm evening. Really hurts due to my existing back and sciatic pain. Just wondering if it could be medication.

Depends on what medication you're on.

Did it come on suddenly?

Have you started new medication?

And so on! 😂

Hi I have been on all sorts! Currently on Pregabalin 75mg )was on 309mg of Gabapentin) 2 daily, relatively new and I also take a drug called Palexia (tepentadol) 100mg 3 x daily. They twitching seems to come on when I am relaxed x

I suffer with that, too. My docs have told me its a side effect of some medications. I didn't have it before, so I'm sure in my case that's what it is.

Thanks for your reply, it nice to know that other people are suffering from it and I am not going totally insane. This site has to be the best site I have stumbled across. It's quite refreshing talking to people who are or have experienced the same pain.

I have something called peripheral nerve hyperexcitability also known as cramp fasciculation syndrome. This was diagnosed through blood tests and an EMG test. I take 800 mg gabapentin daily to ease the twitches and fasciculations. It may be worth seeing your GP over this symptom as it can be an indication of more serious neurological issues.

Hi, You don't say your condition and that makes a difference, I have cerebral palsy and generalised involuntary muscle twitching is (correct me if I need to be updated) common, and due to "something in the brain".

It is a side effect of Lyrica/pregabalin & Gabapentin. I have some real crazy twitching when trying to sleep at night. Thank God I suffer no pain from it all.
