I am sorry about that, it's a lot of money to waste. They do make fanciful claims for it in their flyer I got recently!. It's hard when we're in pain and wonder if we're missing something!. Thanks for replying. X
Yes I do have nerve pain and have tried all sorts of gadgets on the market and haven't found anything that helps yet. I refuse to waste any more money unless I find something that will definitely work. I also find that natural pills and potions don't work on me either however I'm always researching in the hope that someone finds the magic cure. Hope your not struggling too much yourself. X
I agree with you. Over the 13 years I've had back problems I've tried nearly everything that's come on the market. Every little treatment that's available. I've thrown good money after bad money in the hopes of relief of pain. I even had a very controversial surgery done on my back called laser back surgery. It cost me many thousands of dollars to do because it's not covered by insurance. Nothing has worked. I'm at the point where I'm done spending money on crap. So when someone recommend something to me I am very wary of spending money on it.
It's described as a n advancement on transcutaneous nerve stimulation or tens, using a controlled electronic current!. This to me is confusing two separate ways of treating pain. I'm waiting to have radio frequency injections at hospital!. They do say people on steroids or warfarin should seek medical advice before using it. I've got an offer from a health company for £30 for it. Don't know how much it is on Amazon!. It's tough when we're in pain and these 'new products pop up and you wonder could it work as all you want is relief!. Hope your both as well as possible. X
I should have added they claim it's been tested in UK pain clinics with good results but my pain clinic has never said anything!. I will ask them. So sorry about David, hope he improves. You were very brave making that move, glad you like the sun. X
Ive been given Radiofrequency injections to my lower spine for a very severe case of sciatica i had years ago its did the job too it never returned. I had it put on my cheek to burn of the nerve to my top jaw because of AO a neurological pain in my teeth but the wrong nerve was burnt of so it was unsuccessful and it was to excruciating on yhe face to have it repeated plus the professor who administered it told me afterwards if he'd have hit on the top nerve to the eye i would've been blinded...if I'd have been told that before hand I'd never have had it carried out on my face at all I'd keep the pain rather than be blind im sure everyone would do.
Hope your appointment goes well for you and you get a really great outcome please God.
What an experience with Radiofrequency injections!. I certainly wouldn't swap blindness for pain but glad they cured your sciatica!. I'm getting longer relief each time I have them for nerve pain. Thanks for replying. X
For me I found it wonderful! Have written about it as a posting here. I have a tens machine which is not as helpful as I had hoped for but the pain gone - I got mine at Amazon - was amazing. I had been in agony and was taking serious pain killers without relief. 10 mins after using pain pen I fell asleep on the sofa! Like I say for me it has proved very helpful.
Hermes123, It's like all things tried and tested proven by Dr whats it? every day a new cure for pain advertise in national daily's. Like copper insole for shoes, I worked with a lot of copper in my working life, on that premise I should be pain free, pull the other leg, tens machine do absolutely nothing for me. nor did the claimed green lipped mussel, take a majority verdict before putting ones hand into ones pocket. Remember people in the health industry have been looking for a cure for years and years, many claims have been made? we are just round the corner to finding a cure, I will wait till that happens! but I cannot see it happening in my lifetime.
I had the plus version which you only have to press once. It does take the pain away, BUT only for about 5 mins. BUT if you want to feel relief for even 5 mins it is worth it. It doesn't hurt and there's no side effects so you have to work out whether you wish to try it.
I bought one years ago on a whim as it was on a good deal for my wife. My physio told me after that they work ! But alas she didnt think it worked and now even with joint and nerve pain I find it also doesn't work. It is a shame I had high expectations for it too........
It's hard isn't it frankdoberman, when all we want is some relief fro this awful pain!. The flyer that was sent really got to me as I'm in such a lot of pain waiting for injections!. Thank you for replying, hope you do get some relief from your nerve pain, it's such a demanding pain!. x
Thanks Misty14, I too am awaiting injections again and yes nerve pain can wear you down, even on the strongest strength of Lyrica I still find it never goes!
Good luck for your injections too. Are they radiofrequency or nerve block ones?. I've had the longest relief from these and like you am on the highest Lyrica dose. All the best.
Hi Misty, I'm unsure at the moment tbh I had radio frequency on my leg and it helped with sciatica but not for my thigh/hip nerve pain, but I think, but not sure if it's a block again or radio frequency it was such a hurried appointment I really and stupidly forgot to ask, as it's a case of you do what you want as long as you give me relief!! It's terrible when you don't mind someone doing horrible things to you just to get pain relief after. Good luck and let me know how you go on, as I'm in 10th June eek!!!
Hi frankdoberman. I so agree with you, we let them do anything to us for pain relief!. We've got similar pain and it just is so relentless!. I've had good relief from both types of injection done at same time!. I m ringing the hospital this week, to find out when as no date yet I hope I bring you luck as the 10 th is my birthday!. It's good there doing it on a Sat, maybe to keep waiting list down?. Let me know how you get on as you'll be done first. X
Have any of you tried cannabis oil without the THC ? (the THC is the part of cannabis that gets you high), a lot of cancer patients swear by it. Its quite expensive, 30 quid for 200 strength 10ml bottle, but what the price of pain?
You do have to be careful when buying this CBD oil. Some sellars sell inferior quality yet charge the same price. If you can find a recommended supplier then good.
If you can get RSO which is a careful mix of CBD and THC then this works even better without the high
I live abroad now where growing a few plants, for home consumption, is legal...but that's a post for another day!
i have tried it, but i need to be able to drive so not sure how effective it is, wish i had tried it whilst i was on chemo as i couldn't drive then and i was really sick, but i would certainly give it a try, the oil is low on the THC, so you don't get a high or anything like that off it.

It's good for some causes of pain not others, but I don't know how to differentiate. I bought the pen and it worked on my knee which had been hurting for months. My sis tried it and her knee pain of 30 years went away. But other pains remained. I've given it to her as she was overjoyed with the result.
Yes well do have an interest in this device, excuse my suspicion but mercenary input I'm suspicious of, or maybe you are cleverly getting data, at least be honest if you are, if I'm wrong I apologise.
I think I know what you're saying but it doesn't read clearly. And I'm not getting any money from this. Perhaps you could write in proper sentences next time??
Just to put your mind at rest I'm a fellow person with severe nerve pain wondering if it's worth buying this pain gone device that I've had a flyer of in the post!. Have you tried it?.
Hi Misty, if you just go onto facebook and search cannabis success stories uk, you can read about how people have got on with using it as a form of pain relief x
Hi misty, truth is these devices like pain gone and TENS work differently for different people. I know people that swear by them and those who can't tell the difference.
I have a pain gone device and I do like it. But I knew for me it would work because I was benefitting from TENS machine. The only reason I didn't stick with the TENS is it's not really ideal for my wrist and it gets in the way. Neither provide long term relief, but they provided me with a distraction that decreased the pain I could feel. The Pain Gone device does last longer than a tens machine. It's easy to use and I can keep it in my handbag when I'm on the go.
If you're torn, try your local pain management service at the hospital, they may be able to lend you a tens machine to try and if you benefit from that I would say try a pain gone device. But if the tens machine doesn't work then I wouldn't bother, it's not the right relief for you.
Thank you for your very helpful reply. I'm going to ask my pain team about it when I have my injections on the 19 th. I'm glad it's helped you and thanks for all your info hope it continues to help. X
