I have psoriasis arthritis in both hips two days ago I fell due to my hip locking. Everything seemed to be fine until this morning I have woken with a very painful neck. Ibuprofen and Paracetamol are not helping nor Is volterol gel. Any suggestions?

Ask your physician if you can have a Physical Therapy eval, they can try to see if a TENS unit is right for you, I do not know your medical history but your Doc does, so ask him/her. I got the drive off of ebay, the one with the wires, I also have the wireless one but it does not seem to help as much. The first time I tried it was in Physical Therapy, and I was pain free and from then on it was like a love affair with my TENS unit. I do not go anywhere without it. I also got rechargable batteries 9 volt and a charger too, so I do not have to keep buying batteries. Like I said tho..Please ask your Physician.

I gave my spine a jolt when I fell on the stairs a few weeks back and fractured my ankle - I'm still having neck and shoulder problems from the jolt from the landing altho' I didn't land on my upper body.

Did you injure your neck when you fell or do you feel this is muscular stiffness from the jolt? Did you have yourself checked over after the fall? If you've not been checked and things don't improve, you might need a trip to A&E but you might well benefit from a chat with whoever your Out of Hours provider is?

I had a rather uneventful fall back in August of 2016. Or so I thought. Soon my neck became unbelievably sore. There was no comfortable position for me after that. I went to urgent care when I could no longer stand the pain. Pain was creeping down my arms into my hands, and down my back. Burning, stabbing, creeping, depressing pain.

Dr. at urgent care recognized it as Occipital Neuralgia. Finally went to a Neurologist. She has been treating the neck and other affected areas with Botox shots. Not too much pain associated with shots. But the pain relief doesn't last very long. She has to start me off with a low dose. Had two sets of shots so far. I urge you to see a Neurologist.

Two things make it better. Menthol muscle rub and the heating pad. Not at the same time. God bless you. Get some help!
