How long is a piece of string, they are a law unto themselves. The idiot Tories have seen to that.

It depends on what area you are in and how much of a backlog they have in your area. And if they decide they want to do further investigation via your GP or consultant. Also where your application falls within the cycle of the process. But overall it can take anywhere between 2-8 weeks. I got mine around 4 weeks after the assessment.
I'm in the north east ? Any ideas?
I'm North East hun and just had mine done it can take anywhere up to 12 weeks for them to assess everything. They seem to say up to 12 weeks for most things but my last one I had done only took 4weeks but if you have not heard anything around about the 6 week mark, then ring them it sometime speeds it up good luck hun
Before I was diagnosed with Dementia, I was having a hell of a time, although they knew I had some bad illnesses they tried to get me into some form of workfare and was driving me down, but things are not as bad I believe, so fingers crossed for you.

After you have a medical at capita or atos etc, the report will be sent back to the DWP who will then review the medical report and it can take weeks depending.
I have just been awarded PIP but it's taken nearly a Year . Sorry
Hi all, mine took 4 weeks to come. Then I had to do another assessment with the DWP a few weeks later. I was a nervous wreck. So now I'm waiting for there outcome. Me poor nerves
