I've just heard this morning that I've got to go for bone density scan on my back February 14th at 3.00 am so that's not long to wait. I will be glad when its all over.

thats good valerie its must be a great help to have a good partner who is looking out for you. there is a diabetes forum on health unlocked and if your still feeling upset about everything you could leave a post and start talking to people. This is great place to find some comfort and talk to people. im sorry your not feeling to good as its very scary getting diagnosed with illness's and not knowing whats happening. There are so many brave people on this forum and i get plenty of strength myself from the people who i have come across and hopeful i have been the same in return. I dont want to say try not to worry as thats almost impossible in the begining even although it doesnt help. its good that your eating and looking after yourself. keep posting as there are many people to talk to. There are so many different parts to healthunlocked. its good to eat healthy and get some exercise. The people i have met on here with serious illness's that are doing exercise is amazing. That has helped me a lot and got me moving, i always feel so much better if i do some exercise. even a walk in the fresh air is good. god bless you valerie and your partner who is looking out for you. all my love.grace xoxoxo 🌹

Hi, I assume you actually meant 3 pm? I fractured my spine a while back and it took a year to get it taken seriously as I have so many other issues with my spine etc. They were quite insistent that I needed a bone density scan as they were convinced that it was osteoporosis. I was equally convinced it was not since I have had a lot of falls and had never broken a bone. It turns out that I was correct. Although since osteoporosis is treatable I may have been better off if they had been correct. It's a very simple and painless procedure but if it's a density scan they will also check wrists and ankles etc as well. It doesn't take too long either. Hope the result is a good one.

Hi gracie111 unfortunately I didn't go for my walk today, pouring down of rain so pottered about home cooked dinner had a bath washed hair, my backs definitely getting better its not so painful so taking pain killers and resting has helped so much, getting back to normal slowly, washing tomorrow .
