Hi does anyone know if Vit. B6 is excreted in the same way as Vit. B12? I have PHN and have been taking a supplement containing B6 and wondering of I'm doing more harm than good. Thanks
Vit B6: Hi does anyone know if Vit. B6 is... - Pain Concern
Vit B6
We've just had a discussion post about B6 on the Lupus forum.
Too much, more than 100mg,can cause peripheral nerve problems.
I can't manage to copy link across but a couple of useful info replies state that you should only supplement B6 on Gp say so.It also shows food that are naturally higher in B6 .
You can always pop onto to lupus UK forum and scroll down to find the relevant post as it is a recent one.
Had a look on lupus forum and probably NOT a good idea to take B6 unless one really needs it. Not too sure why I started it, probably looking for an answer that isn't there! Have stopped now and was only taking lowish dose and not for long and seems to be that if damage done is reversible if one stops the B6
My understanding is that you need to take vitamin B complex not one vitamin B by itself. Unfortunately this is the limit of my understanding.
Mine too, but what about B12 (alone for pernicious anaemia ? or isn't it the case that a B vitamin (B6?) can be taken in pregnancy to prevent spina bifida in vulnerable cases ? Don't really know and anyway most instances not applicable to me. I just try things that some recommend, hoping 'll become Super Woman...silly I'm more than old enough to know better...I'll NEVER learn - ha- ha.
