My Mom (84) has recently had Shingles in her eye and head.
It's been 4 weeks now and the pain in her eye is horrendous she screams in pain - it happens about 4/5 times a day. She describes it as burning and sharp pains which has started lasting longer an longer.
She keeps telling me she cannot take it anymore!!!!

I had the same thing last year so I do feel for your mum, the pain is awful. The drops they gave me helped but I was told that the pain can flare up for months, even years later but not as often. I still get the occasional flare up, stabbing of pain in my eye and head. But it sounds like your mum is still suffering in the extreme, so the virus must be still active. I'm sure her doctor can give her something to ease her pain. My mum had it too in her head and neck, leaving terrible scars, along with the occasional flare up of pain years later. It doesn't seem to ever go completely.
I'm sorry I can't be any real help but her GP must surely do sonething, although mine sent me to the eye section of my local A&E. You could just take her there? I hope she gets help soon.
So sorry to hear your mum has got shingles in her head and eyes 😞 Last year I had it in the same place and I know what your mum going though 😞😪 also I suffer from CRPS And I was going out of my mind !!! What medication is your mum on ?
