Aching in hand.

So my brother very recently accidentally scratched me now I'm feeling a aching pain in between my thumb and forefinger. What is this?

Maybe had dirt in his nails & caused infection? Antibiotics or a cream of GP needed

It's maybe an infection. Give the area a good clean with antiseptic then cover it with a new bandage or plaster. Have a look in the morning. If it is red and puffy , perhaps with pus coming out of it then see a doctor.

Hopefully it will not need antibiotics.

Scratches should heal fairly quickly. If problems exist for too long it could be a sign of an infection. Infections can be straightforward and just go. Or they could be nasty because the body has no resistance to the infection.

If there is redness or an obvious scratch that looks like it is puffy or sore or red, then maybe go ask your local pharmacist to recommend something to put on it. It doesn't sound serious enough for a doctors appointment, but many pharmacists now offer a minor injuries service for things like this.
