Hi deejojo be careful when u have the carpal tunnel syndrome done I had the same operation and now I got crps and 6 years later I have my left arm and right foot amputated, so before u have the operation ask them what if any thing can happen.
Best wishes
Your really scaring me now why would. Have an amputation it must have been bad???
Hi I'm not trying to scare u I was told before my operation that the release of the carpal tunnel may work or not they did not tell me that I could get crps, all I'm saying is talk to u specialist, my carpal tunnel was really bad yours may only be mild and it may work for u I'm just telling u what happened to me. So please do not worry about it as I said talk to u specialist or u gp

If it's capperal tunnel then when I got mine done it was frozen with injection, although terrified you don't feel any pain you can sense what is going on you neither feel or see anything.I am a coward about hospital so thought the worse but can ensure you it will be fine good luck. Grumpygrampa
Hi there, when I was waiting to have carpal tunnel op someone told me there was nothing to it, I didn't believe them at the time! I have had both hands done with successful outcome in both. I was scared but just remember it is all over within 15 minutes from start to finish as they cant keep a (tornequet excuse spelling) on any longer. When I was in I couldn't see anything I could feel them doing stuff but there was no pain, and the nurse kept talking to me all the way through to take my mind off it. Any surgery is not pleasant but I can honestly say it was no different to a visit to the dentist, and before I knew it I was walking back out of the theatre! The worst part was keeping it dry afterwards, I had one done and 6 weeks later I had the other done, so pleased with the result! What you are feeling now is worse than the actual op worrying is building it up out of all proportion. Once you are in there I am sure you will be fine. Good luck
I have had both my hands done the pins & needles returned in both hands. I was told the nerve was trapped between the elbow and wrist, they operated on my elbow and I still have pins & needles and my arm is still swollen a year after good luck
Deejo
Wishing you well on your proceedure. Is there a way before the doc starts you can ask and make sure you are sedated or even "out" completely before they start?
Keep us posted. One step closer to your healing.

They do carpal tunnel with a local in a day theatre in our area but I'm sure if you to be completely out they will
