Do a google image search for "cherry angioma". Is that what your red spots look like?

Yes. It's not like a bump. It just a tiny pin spot. I'm wondering if it's from the steroid med I am on?

I don't know what causes them. I just know they are harmless. I've got one or two that I've had for decades. They don't grow or change or do anything really. :)

I can't see the picture to good but I get red/ purple spots I did ask a DR I was referred to once don't think he had a clue but then realised I had COPD and put it down to steroids but they started before I took steroids

I've had these cherry angiomas for years. They are generally smallish scattered all over my body but I have a large one in the area of my cleavage which I've always intended to have removed. Luckily none on my face. Steroids do not cause them as I started to get them years before taking steroids. I beliebe they are genetic as my Dad had them & remember as a little girl being fascinated by my Dad's red spots!

I think they are most probably age spots. My husband has a lot on his chest and back and he is in his sixtys. Nothing to worry about.

Hi They are Cherry Angiomas I get them they are nothing to worry about.

They are indeed random and you can get a cluster. Eventually they go down but after some time.
