Constant aggrivation and pain
This could be any number of things causin this but my first suggestion would be to seek medical advice from a GP.
He would be the one to make a diagnosis with tets or scans as needed.

I agree medical advice is needed. It could be ibs or any number of things.
Hi there, constipation is very painful and can cause you to not only be in pain but can make you feel really ill. While he is waiting to see the docter i suggest you get senakot tablets from the chemist to help to clear the blockage to give some relief. Your docter can feel if this is causing the problem by pressing on his stomach as the blockage could be high up. He will discuss his diet etc then will monator him from there so no need to worry at this stage. His pains could be a lot of things so going to his GP is important to get a proper diagnosis. Let us know the outcome.
Stomach issues can be the first sign of a whole raft of things. Some simple and not a big deal and others that are very serious. Get him to a doctor. This is not something to fool around with. The body is trying to tell him something and it is up to him to listen.
You need to get to a doctor ASAP sounds a blockage in the colon!! I know this because my mother had the same symptoms. Please don't put it off!!! It could be a polyp which is treatable to a cancerous tumor. I am not trying to scare you.
My mothers diagnosis was a cancerous tumor she is 84 years old and I don't know how long she has but surgery is not an option because the cancer will spread.
she is too old to go through chemotherapy!
I often have this and it is very unpleasant and think mine is due to the amount of meds I am on and there combined constipation effect. I drink pints of mint tea through the day and Green Machine Smoothie by naked every day. I seem to go twenty minutes after taking it. I believe innocent make one as well. I hope to make my own soon as they are about three pounds but worth it.mi have a hernia which I believe is causing a slight blockage. Get it sorted as it effects your whole body and trapped wind can be excruciatingly painful.

Hi Alurea the 1st thing to do is take the bull by the horns and go to your GP, this could be anything from an impacted faeces, it's or at the worst a tumour which could be benign (non cancerous ) or malignant. If you don't do anything it's only going to get worse it may not just go away on its own, my sister died of Gall Bladder cancer aged 53 she had only diagnosed two weeks earlier, this saved my mums life, she started with some symptoms with her bowel and insisted she had a colonoscopy, it resulted in a cancerous polyp which was successfully removed with keyhole surgery and no colostomy bag! She is now 6 years post surgery (she was 75 when she had op) this shows even bad news doesn't mean doom and gloom, it's all about early diagnosis and positive thinking.
Keep strong be there for each other and look to the positives, hope all goes well, make that GP appt now!! Let us know how you get on
Big hugs Sheryl
Think this is a question for a doctor. Your friend probably needs the doctor to ask a few more questions and see if any investigations need doing. It could be chronic constipation, but other potentially more serious things probably need ruling out.
