thanks to everyone for their replies/likes last night. im sorry, had a few beers because i was so sore but no excuse.

just seems so unfair on us all.

without trying to work up a hornets nest, im realising that drinking isnt doing me any good, puts me into "poor me" window.

has anyone had any luck with weed? tried it a few times but done nothing, appetite fair picked up though lol, jim

Hello Jim from Paisley. Pat from down the road here

Which bit do you want answers to?

The fact that TV of all channels continue to portray chronically sick and disabled people as not worthy of receiving social security?

Too many beers?

Or cannabis does nothing for you?

Pat x

The fact they show program like that show gives genuine sick people and disabled it's a easy target to have a go at us I find it disgusting and very sad that TV channels do it but who watches channel 5 ? I only watch neighbours the rest is dross

Hey Jim, I don't know how to help with all of it (although I think it's okay to feel bad for yourself sometimes, so long as you don't get dragged down), however I do have experience with weed as a painkiller!

Everyone reacts to marijuana differently and of course it depends on what and how you take. I've been a pot user for many years for a few reasons other than recreation - it prevents me from having constant, throbbing headaches, it helps me sleep (I used to barely be able to) and it calms my anxiety and depression. However since I've had mystery pain in the last year it's helped enormously and often is the only thing that actually makes the pain go away.

If you're not a smoker or regular user, but want to look into the possibilities of medicinal weed, I would suggest getting in touch with either your local chapter of the Cannabis Supporters group or contacting another (the Merseyside one is particularly helpful with medical stuff, they collect stuff together to make salves and creams and things for people with cancer). Using some kind of oil, cream or even vaping cannabis could be really effective.
