5/6 what? Is this the Zen Macrobiotics goofiness about light brown stools that float being healthy. Nonsense not enough fiber in the diet. 5/6 Pixie Dust. Serious medicine only

in reply toBBGuess45

It is serious medicine, it is the scale used to describe the consistency of faeces. I work in a microbiology lab diagnosing enteric pathogens. Serious medicine to anyone suffering bowel problems. This can guide us on what tests to perform. Obviously you have been lucky not to have these issues, but please don't criticise until you understand.

Thank you Sueboooo I have been like this for so long. I ma now 72 and from 1944 it has been the same. Point is I also have a lot of allergies and intolerances and also RA OA and osteoporosis etc. No painkillers cos of allergies etc. I demanded to see a Dietician and this is the result as firmly worded letter to the GP. I have a copy. This was the only thing on it I did not know so many thanks for pointing me to the file. I am now increasing the Creon slowly. Amongst other things.

No I haven't had problems in this area. I've eateb a high fiber very healthy diet for the majority of my life. This methodology does harken back to clean colon proper stool consistency crackpots of years gone by that why I've made a point of making a point of it as possible quackery. There are other methods for determining one's intestinal health that are much more reliable. As I said, whatever floats your boat(in this case your stool), and sinks it. If Dr(?) Sacrau(?) works for you, go for it. The ancient Greeks used a very similar methodology. In the heathy diet craze days of the late '60's I followed unconventional dietary practices abd thrived, Sorry to offend it is important with medical care for whatever concern to always be on guard against Charlatan. Dr. Sillicus isn't even a medical doctor. He's certified by an International board of what?

in reply toBBGuess45

The person who posted asked a genuine medical question that had a medical answer that is internationally recognised. Nothing to do with diets and quackery etc. The NHS works with proven medical science, so I don't see the point of your remarks unless to discredit trained and registered medical professionals treating patients with bowel issues far more complicated than just diet related. Personally I find your comments ignorant. I hope you never need our services!

Thank you Sueboooo, It was a medical question as I wanted to understand the letter sent to my GP and copied to me. I do understand it fully now all three pages of it. So we can be as equals when I see her. I want a good relationship with one doctor even though there are 12 in the practice. With this lot of things wrong with digesting etc I feel one professional relationship is great.

Good luck to you. I know you appreciate the medical profession that are helping you. And it is important that you understand the letters/reports. The more you understand, the more you can communicate with yr Dr and help yourself manage yr condition.y cements were not directed towards you. I just get upset when I have spent years training and studying for a career and people who dont

Elucidate me, shine a light on my ignorance. Point is again spiritual is belief medicine, is science, mathematically verifiable fact. A prescription of belief is a sweet dear thing, but what is it exactly. I don't disrespect you. I simply discredit the lack of science in the Hokum you are posting as factual, and likely to help many because of 'these' factual reasons. You site only beliefs. Put your stool hogwash in a test tube, and quantify it for me, please. I believe in Science I have all my life.

Start your own forum on cures We "believe" work. Hokum is Hokum and is a subcategory of Hogwash

You rattled of a bunch of acronyms. I have chronic Pain for a disability that started in '77, and was definitely aggravated when I was hit by a bus in '04. Fill me in on the value of Spiritual Stool Science in Pain Management. I'll never discount the value of belief, but you all are defending a Spiritual Physhologist's Medical Value. Real Physicians of Medicine, are in their final resting places reading this discussion, monologue; you way or no other, with humor. The Scopes Monkey Trial bears rememembering

Please Elucidate. I use these Forums regularly, and will continue to do so. Others are seeing the truth in what I said. What is Spiritual Psychology, and what does anything spiritual have to do with anything medical? Point is Nothing. But you are all free to believe what you believe. So NHS funds this blather. I'm sure HewSA Insurance funds quackery, too, because, what you're calling good medicine is Quackery. Live Long and Prosper

in reply toBBGuess45

I cannot waste any more of my time and energy discussing your ridiculous ideas. What I do is proven science, end of. Hope you never have intestinal problems! Leave us to our sensible discussion please.

Apparently I was and have been on a child's dose of Creon for 26 years. No one noticed this before and I did not know. Now being gradually raised. Lots of problems but have found someone who is actually interested in the many allergies and intolerances to foods and chemicals that I have. I have to live with them but nice to get some help. I knew about how to cope with the allergies etc but not the Creon.
