It came to light after test after test to see why I have such a high core temperature. I literally burn up inside even in freezing cold weather. I know that this is your neuropathic nerves telling your blood vessels to dilate too much so you get too much blood rushing around your system and that it means you can't control your temperature to put it all simply.
Does anyone else have this or now anymore about it?

Hi, thanks for replying. Has anyone told you of any medication or anything else that might help? I feel I am getting no help and its making me very depressed.
I am sorry vmatt3, but I had spinal cord surgery 3 years ago and I have been like this the whole time. The surgeon told me its because all the nerves in my spinal cord are all screwed up now!!! Especially the one's controlling circulation! There is nothing I know of that can change it or help it. I know how you feel! I have learned to just live with it along with all my other problems! Sending Blessings! Good Luck!
High just wondering what the symptoms you had I have been suffering bad swets when everyone is cold I am roasting also bad itch on my body and legs I have scratched myself in bed that it bleeds my doctor says it will probably be my tablets I just wonder myself.
Being very hot even when everyone else is freezing. I feel I am burning up on the inside and my clothes are burning me. I have to sleep on a cooling mattress pad or I just bake in bed. It's a dreadful feeling and I don't think anyone understands.
you might want to find a forum for people with spinal cord injuries, as this is a fairly common problem at some levels of spinal cord injury. One good one is apparalyzed.com
Hi there vmatt3. Yes, I suffer from the same problem of overheating but did not know the cause. The slightest effort brings it on and just recently I perspire for apparently no reason at all yet I am well past the menapause. I do suffer from increasing arthritis in back, hips knees - well everywhere really. I am also quite up-tight and wonder if high blood pressure could be a cause. Do let me know if you find out what starts it although I understand that it could be nerves in my spine being trapped. I just accept it but it is uncomfortable.
