Hi my name is maria i have suffered with chronic back pain for 10 years now had a diagnosis of sacroiliac dysfunction last year .

Pain is a burning and severe ache in lower back and pelvis going into my hips and groins and siatic pain down both legs when sitting or standing .have been on sick for a while with a view not to go back. Pain is only easier at home as i can rest as and when i need to.

So sorry for you I to have similar problems extremely painful and gets you down, I try to keep as relaxed as possible as medication helps but it takes it toll on my feelings too, take care.

It's living hell know how your feel mine is muscle in my si pain in hip and down one leg but the other hurts too the meds work but as I'm writing this I feel them wearing off I keep telling myself it won't beat me but it's hard

Try a sacroiliac support belt. A Physio will advise. I use one when I am going to be doing anything like lifting.

Have you seen a rheumatologist? Sacroiliac and lower back pain is the hallmark of ankylosing spondylitis or other forms of spondyloarthropathy (inflammatory spinal arthritis), which can be treated quite effectively. If you havent been assessed by a rheumatologist, then ask your GP to refer you to make sure they have considered AS.

I wish I'd love listened to my gp 4 year ago and put work on hold...I've hip pain.leg pain.arm.wrist.knee.upper back ....going and feeling sad now!!!!!if stand in same place to long hurts..stiff like mad..apart from being told I've d.d.d.and arthritis in lower spine..oh disc excited out sitting on my s1 nurve..physio won't touch me..been pain clinic 3 times no help..advice.....sorry not help full...my wrist right feels like can put my thumb in a hole on back hand???all bloods norm ???loi

Have the pain clinic not suggested having injections at all
