Im not sure bob what they Re going to do .. I am on here as I dont think people really understand that haven't got pain whT it is like .. an knowin what I can do and how much . Depenpin on how my pain is I have posted a few others on here

Had appointment yesterday consultant on seein me and the pain I was in has put urgent on mri .. he daid within 2 weeks then op discectomyhe said I explain I am to marmarried in august . And if I am like this I would cancel

Hi Trudi, that's what I have too along with sparring osteophytes.

I've been suffering with chronic back pain for over 20 yrs and I'm only 36! It's gotten considerably worse over the last 12 yrs after being in 2 minor car accidents. I had to give up my career after the first accident, I was a hair dresser at an amazing, high end salon and absolutely loved it, now I'm a performance coach in a call centre and hate every second. The pain worsened a year and a half ago after the last car accident (I'll point out here that neither of the accidents were my fault lol!) and to make matters worse still, I slipped over at work 2 weeks ago and have been off in agony since!

I find that while my husband and family try and be supportive, they just don't understand what it's like to live like this.

I hope you get your surgery soon and that it really helps you, hopefully you'll be able to come off some of your meds - I leave the pharmacy with a carrier bag full of drugs each month cos I'm on 32 pills a day!

Getting used to this . Sorry mistee tryin to get used to leaving comments .. I started with general back probs when I was 32 .. aftet my first pregnancy .. had epidural .. went docs an referred physio .. I would say not been to bad until 2 yrs ago .. coyldnt walk excruciating pain ended up off work 2 weeks . Was on diazepam .. had mri 2012 .. but was able to keep working .up until last oct got out of bed pain was awful drove to work ..but as I started walkin eased off .. but got to November had to go on sick . My mri back in 2012 said disc protusion l4l5 an cant remember what else . But lead to havin spinal injections 4 th feb . Since then pain is worse . Can hardly walk far after been on feet half hour . Leg gives way pain in bum leg calf .. bad burning right leg permanent pins needles .. I think outcome will be op but as too what kind don't know . . See consultant surgeon tomorrow .. got hol booked June well hen do as suppose to be getting married 9th aug feel that will have to cancel as pain is too much and feel as no one understand the pain . Get twitches with medication really fed up always was active before also put wieght on gettin me down thank you mistee and others

I am so sorry for your pain as I have suffered back pain for many years but told it was Fibro. Seeing new Rheumy and she did X-ray's yesterday and results were shocking to her! Severe arthritis. Spurs on every side of T spine with narrow spacing. Lumbar is bone on bone, no disc between any of those. Waiting for call to see surgeon. Never been this route and do not have any idea what they may do.

Gundy31460 that sounds awful and terribly painful .. How do you cope . I can sypmpathise with your fibro as my mum hss it and finds some days good some days bad I feel a bit guilty as I really didnr havemuch eempathy for mum as I was always on the go 100 miles an hour I am 48 .. lived with moderate back pain since 32 but this now is worse ever stopped my quality of life I just feel miserable I still manage on an off aroubd house but work is a far distant thought at the moment xx

I do miss caring for others. Terrible at this pain stuff and don't want people to be inconvenienced. As you can see in my picture, I have 2 young grandchildren and every age up to 6 and then a 10 yr old. Nine grandchildren to love and play with. Try not to show my pain. Yes, I started very young! Now I feel older than I am! I am trusting for some relief.

I am so sorry! The spine center is ready to see me but waiting on Rheumy to send my info. So hard to wait in pain. Sometimes wonder if everyone (doctors) only in medicine for the money these days. They take on so many patients that there is lack of caring in many of them. I have to add that my Internist is awesome. She even texts me to check on me and answers my text questions or needs. Try not to bother her but she is helping learn a new whole food way of eating.
