Hello BOB here

The NHS is in a dire situation when you are waiting for a non urgent operation, as there are many waiting for that gold appointment to get things done.

The only things that can be done, is go private ?.

The other is have words with your Specialist by your GP too wait and possibly accept a cancelled appointment, some of these can be very short notice.

Sadly I do not know what the waiting times are in your region, suggest you possibly find out

You are in the lap of the Gods

All the best, good luck

It might help if you rang and spoke to the surgeons secretary, these are the power behind the throne. You don't need to go through your GP for that. Just explain everything to her and she will relay to the doc. They are often much easier to talk to. It might help - often does in my experience of working next door to one for years!
