After a seven month sick leave I'm returning to work. I've had a decent reduction in my pain but I'm afraid that being on my feet all day is gonna make me sick all over again. I love and miss my job and I'm so happy to be going back. I didn't want the pain to win. Now I just have to pray I can actually work and support my kids without falling apart. People pray for me that my body holds up.

Going back to work
Wishing you good luck on your return to work, don't forget to keep up your pain med routine and try and take breaks when you can. You have been an amazing boost to me knowing there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Don't forget to let us know how you get on I will be thinking of you.

Thanks guys, I'm so nervous its giving me a flare up...go figure..xanax take me away....lol
Good luck, plenty breaks and maybe re-arrange the work load to suit you better. Flexi times helpful if the workplace allows it.
Hello Juliansmom,
you don't say what kind of work that you do or the size of the organisation - but i do hope that you have a HR Department who have arranged a phased return. I was fortunate to start with just mornings working half my hours (getting full pay) building up gradually to full time over the next six weeks. My team were fine this, they knew the hours that I had put in before I became ill. Other managers supported me too - they knew it could be them next.
Best wishes to you and your family.
Sheila
I'm in retail ,same store for 16 years so they'll definitely cut me some slack and I've already made it clear that I won't be doing the work of ten men anymore. I do have a list of restrictions from my doc sent to the hr dept. And I'm doing a few less hours but that means less pay and I have two kids to support. Basically I better get better!
Good luck on your return to work. Very brave lady! Ann
