My leg is like a lump of lead....

I have so many different pains and am still convinced I have some trapped nerves as I have burning and buzzing and electric shocks. Might right leg has also felt heavy like lead and restricted for over a year. Surely that indicates a nerve problem. I'm fed up of being told they haven't found anything when my body has gone completely crazy...

Hi Rocky like you I also have leg pains Neuropathic pain in both of my legs if they are not extremely sore they are heavy its like having

weights round both legs . I was on Pregabalin but the side effects were unpleasant so I stopped taking them and stayed on my Cocodamal 50x300 mg .

I hope that you are on a good day today.

Hi Rocky...

Am in a similar situation as you. My leg pain is caused through nerve inpergment to discs L4/5, L5/S1. This causes my legs to go into spasm, pins & needles etc etc, the most annoying thing for me, is that you don't know when this is going to happen.

Am now on Baclofen for the spasms, on which now I have been on for 6 months or so. Do I feel it helps, then NO.

Since 2010, I started to get the same symptoms too my arms, on which they now do the same as the legs, as I have said, it's the not known when the spasms or the pins & needles are going to hit, especially when it effects both legs & arms at same time.

You take care

Joe

Hi Rocky 1

I understand a little of how you feel. Have similar problems with no actual illness/problem identified by docs, despite mri etc but tole although nothing concrete showed up in the doctors vast experience I had a slipped disc (laymans terms) which had healed by physio and time. Also stated I prob. had permanent nerve damage I just had to live with, same symptons as you numb, dead leg, shooting pain sciatica tingling heat heavy etc. Gentle walking when I can manage with crutches is best but need anti imflamatories and lots of pain killers. Good luck in finding your own conbination. P.S. tens machine helps if I get it on early enough, old fashioned hot water bottle and accupuncture helps me get sleep.

hi there,

I have extremely heavy legs too. I get shooting pains and muscle spasms that feel like jolts of electricity all the time.

I have just been informed that I have nerve irritation/ damage in my back and right knee which I got the results by being referred to a neurologist. I hope they find something soon.

I have only found this out after having my problem for 8 months and I have a feeling I have a long way to go yet.

x
